I agree and I'm curious as well! I'll try to get to the bottom of it on an official track.

Maybe you had Ford engineers following you and as soon as you went to bed BAM they came into the car did an OTA secret sauce upgrade and collected known DNA samples.

But, the sum total of the data we have so far is 2 different cars, with 2 different drivers, on 2 different tracks, both producing virtually identical runs.

So now Ford needs to fix it. I’m over arguing at this point because they clearly limited it to 100ish in the 1/4 mile for, reasons….

Better than the other car, still way off of target (Model Y time). Would love to see it with no slope and no passenger. But even so, I doubt that’ll get it near 1.5 seconds which is where I want it to be.

• 0-100 mph: 8.12 seconds
• 30-70 mph: 2.72 seconds

Careful quoting times on Teslarati, there are shittons of Dragy runs out there that don’t come close to those. Lots of 3.8-3.9s for every 3.4-3.5. I’ve seen them and posted them before but I’m over it. ?

As a cyclist I can say 6.5% incline will make a significant difference especially considering we're talking about roughly .5 seconds.

Curious why this car did so much better while going up an incline than the first one on flat ground.

Let’s call it what it is. 7% slope is a fucking hill where acceleration times are concerned. 0-1% nets you a 1.9-2.0 run likely. Run it back down the opposite direction and get the 2- way avg. like the mags are supposed to do. Or find a flatter road and lose the passenger ?

Play around the system.
There should be a not so hard to find software version.

Maybe we can compare version numbers with others and create a timeline or series

It does, but I also haven't tried to got 100 yet so who knows....so far.

I would love to see this math. I didn't realize the top speed for the GT was 70, that's news to me!

I agree that Ford needs to answer some of these questions and there are valid concerns about the top-end performance. BUT, some of the hyperbole here is once again getting out of control and laughable.

I'm glad you found it laughable, considering IT WAS A GODDAMN JOKE. How legit dumb do you think a person would have to be to think a mach e has a top speed of 68 (not 70, don't be lazy with your maths), while simultaneously posting in a forum full of 0-100 trap times?

idon’t think they can finish more cars in enough time… and I don’t think they can stop all reviews… for once the chip shortage is actually helping us consumers.

I can’t wait for the first review that will put Ford on the spotlight and then they will have to make a statement… I don’t think they can hold off the reviews until October….
