For any prospective buyers who want to drive Mustang Mach-E before they buy, it looks like we now know when that can happen.

According to the below screenshot, dealers are now putting in their order for their Ford Courtesy Transportation Program (FCTP) Mustang Mach-E, with shipping in late November and test drives starting in December.

All EV-certified Ford dealers can order one Mustang Mach-E in their July vehicle order, and can choose any model, color, and interior combination they want, just like a customer ordering online.

It’s great to see Ford prioritizing demo units and letting each EV-certified dealer order one. Having the Mustang Mach-E on dealer lots will allow reservation and order holders feel more secure in their decision after a test drive, and will allow more perspective buyers experience the electric pony.

To be fair, it's not like this is anything new.
  • MOST bloggers (even 'big' ones like inside EVs) copy from other bloggers without adding any new insight. It's frustrating, but at least most are embedding a source link somewhere in the page.
  • The paid employees of VerticalScope seem to be regularly copying my posts (from here and other social channels) onto the other Mach-E forum. And they do so using regular looking user accounts (not obviously attributed to VerticalScope).
  • The admin on this forum regularly and quietly changes our post titles and messages, occasionally changing intended meaning and making them wrong.
  • The admin on the other forum has at least once (that I noticed) quietly deleted my posts.
  • Both site admins used to regularly post news with zero attribution to the original sources. Now they are both handling that more professionally by citing sources.
  • We've no idea what company or people are running this site.

I believe Matthew is a member here and contributes to this forum....he’s just moonlighting as a separate blog. Maybe it was his original post he ripped from. Blanking on his handle name

I noticed about a month ago or so that I made a post with a link to it very early in the morning . . . (I'm at the office by 6:30 am ET). It may have been on the 1400. I always check to see if someone else has posted news so I am not repeating it before I post, and no one had posted it. Later that day I saw my post was gone, and the same content had been posted later by the admin.
No problem I guess. It must certainly take some time and energy to maintain the site. It just struck me as strange. But just like FaceBook or any other social site, we create most of the content that drives the ads and produces the revenue once it is up and running.

I'm amused that they chose to photoshop a MachE in front of Paddy's Pub from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Google maps street view caught a Tesla around the corner (where the show's storefront gets set up).

I thought I’d read elsewhere in this forum that the build starts 9/28? In which case some cars arrive at dealers well before December. So does that mean they’ll just sit in a showroom, no test drives allowed, until December? Or are a bunch of customer cars delivered first, dealer cars being a lower priority?

just trying to figure our when the first customer cars will be delivered!

Seems likely to me that some vehicles could be delivered prior to December. I think the December date is a bit sand bagged.

One of the Ford employee members posted some excepts of internal info that suggested "Job 1" (which appears to be the production of the first customer vehicles) was moved up from Oct 26 to Sept 28. With a potential pace of around 1000 vehicles per week. Nothing is officially announced though so I'd take it as "hopeful".

We're guessing maybe 2-3 weeks after production for prepping and delivery to various dealership in North America. If all true, the first customers in the queue might possibly get theirs by mid/late Oct.

Probably a full month from production to delivery.
