I like the Chev in the garage. What year, 56? Just curious. ?
1955 Bel Air
Not very desirable since it is a 4 door sedan. I bought it as a basket case and performed a full frame off restoration. Did everything myself except for the upholstery. Ciadella Interiors made me a custom interior that looks period correct. Other than the small deviation in fabric and pattern....the car is very original, down to the factory paint colors.

1955 is the first year for the small block Chevy V8 which went on to become a legendary engine.

Here is what it looked like when I bought it.....

Grizzl-e not the Wi-Fi one. Works great and is made in North America
I have the same; bought and installed it summer of last year for my wife's Mini SE.

Simple to use, sturdy, good customer support, reasonable price, relatively long cable, configurable (via dip switches) to 16A/24A/32A/40A. DIdn't need a charger with controls or displays, can configure charging from the vehicle.

Initially set it for 32A because that's the most the Mini can use. In preparation for the MME that will eventually be delivered I swapped the 40A breaker for a 50A breaker and set the dip switches for 40A. (This is safe because the wiring for that circuit is 4 gauge copper. Overkill, but we had our reasons.)

nice job!
One of my tennis buddies drives one.... I think a '56, which he bought new. Original colors same as this one. He did a 'mostly stock/original' resto and repaint except a replacement motor, exhaust a couple years ago .

I got the Ford Charger. The 60 amp circuit breaker and wire cost about $900. I wanted to keep Ford involved.
I bought the Ford charger too and had it installed today. The fan on the car is really loud while it is charging. I wasn’t expecting that. Is it supposed to be that loud? Sounds like a jet taking off out there!

Yes, there is a service bulletin about that. I don't have it bookmarked, so you'll have to search for the thread - or simply call your dealer's service department and talk to them about it

If you turn it down to 32A (or maybe 40A) then it will be much quieter. Not much benefit to charging at full speed unless you are crunched for time or trying to stay in a charge window for off peak reasons. Even then you would have to drive quite a bit each day to need the 48A rate.

I turned my EVSE down from 48A to 32A and the car is so much happier.

Good to see that he is still playing tennis in his eighties.

I have found that the included charger is adequate. At 20mph that is 240 miles in 12 hours.

Absolutely true, but what is not known is how rugged it is. Presumably if you charge in your garage once a week or less it will work fine, but outdoors or in constant use it might not last that long.

I have it outdoors (mostly covered) and have been using it since July. Normally top off the charge to 90 percent every day.

What level 2 charger is everyone purchasing for home use? The ford connected charge station, juice box, or something else?
Something else...a United Chargers Canadian-built Alpha Charger for $599. These chargers have a thicker cable that doesn't stiffen in the cold. Works great on my GTPE. Due to its lcd panel display, I never have to use an app on my phone.
