10/11 build week gang

Thinking maybe NS had some weird phone issues today. Tried a number of times to trace…could never even get to the point of entering the rail car number. A variety of very odd issues…

FWIW, I always used the number keys, as the verbal prompts don’t really work. Plus I had to be quiet, as their system would think I was speaking if it heard something on my end, which would mess up the tracing process.

Got the call.... supposed to be delivered to dealer today... and am in the process of completing paperwork to get it this afternoon... Here's the info to help others gauge..

We had almost identical dates except I ordered 5/31 built 10/27 shipped 10/28... arrived at dealer in central california yesterday 3pm. I was emailed final checkout paperwork from Ford at 10pm last night. I stopped by dealer today to confirm (they called me this AM asking if I wanted the car....) And it was there in its packing tape standing. Plan is to pickup tomorrow! Congrats on yours. CA RT 1 twins. (Same day built)

Evidently my MME is (for some reason) on hold at the rail distribution center, as I just got an email from Ford notifying me that the new delivery date range is 1/3-1/9. Sigh.

It was working tonight! Train crossed into PA today. Got a bit to go to get to Delaware, but I’m just thrilled to see it’s moving since there’s nothing else in JCT. I’ll just hope for the best on the truck driver situation. And certainly prepare for the worst.

I got the worst—a just-received email from Ford, moving my ETA out to 1/3-1/9.

fingers crossed.... ETAs are usually a conservative date.... hopefully before xmas you'll take delivery

Bob: Do you have a good relationship with your dealership? After mine sat in a rail yard for 10 days my rep escalated it to her GM which then brought in Ford. It was subsequently marked as "hot" and hit the dealership within 3 business days. Not sure if it was coincidence or not, but I'm guessing it helped

Mine is in the same boat. Apparently there is a huge backlog at the Clay Como terminal for eastbound rail service.

My car is awaiting to be trucked 29 miles to the dealer, so no rail delay. I’m wondering if it might be the glass roof…

I got an email from Ford saying "Complete your purchase!" at 11AM today. Called the dealer and sure enough, she's here!

It was delivered to Voltz on 11/21, and has arrived in CLT today, 12/8. I could never really get good data from NS. It must've moved so quickly the car got recycled or they keyed bad car info in for the transit. My original delivery date Ford projected once it was shipped was 12/22.

I'm unfortunately booked until Friday AM with work but have completed all the "complete your purchase" info online. I'm going with a third party lender (my bank) that was able to get me a far lower rate than was shown on the Ford Credit site.
