10/11 build week gang

@connoisseurr I just got some info from my sales rep, after requesting he ask their GM to escalate my Mach-E order with Ford:

We reached out to Ford:

Here is the response from Ford “The reason this unit got pushed back until January is because it is on a stop hold for a quality inspection. I will get it hot tagged, but they will not do anything with it until it's released from the hold.” I’ll keep you updated if I hear anything further.

So this explains another reason for an 'on hold' status, right from the horse's (no pun intended) mouth.

At least I'll now know when the hold gets lifted, via checking with United Road. Progress? I don't dare assume anything!

I'm so sorry to my fellow 10/11 builds who have not received their cars yet. Amazing that an 8/1/21 order is already delivered and 4/28/21 is not. Just not right. I feel lucky that my 10/11 build week went smoothly and I was able to pick up 11/22/21, as it clearly could have been worse. On the bright side, it is WORTH the wait. I have already put 750 miles on it and love it in every way. The one advantage of having the build later, is it is up to date and the Frunk, PAAK and BC are all working!

May you all get luck and have the cars come in early and in time for a wonderful Christmas surprise!

Merry Christmas. Did you also get 2 fobs at first try? I had to quote the 7/7 issuance from Ford regarding all mache's get 2 fobs.

I got 2 fobs. The dealer did not seem to know it came with 2 fobs as they initially told me it came with 1. When I took delivery, it had 2 fobs.

Indeed. I laugh as they are programmed with two. Yet why would a dealer provide 6 eggs out of a given dozen eggs? Why?

My sales rep’s GM did the same, requested they categorize it as ‘hot,’ but said that they didn’t provide a reason for the hold and said that it wouldn’t be released until the hold is lifted.

If it is in fact the glass roofs, you’d think that they would at least get them to the dealers asap to deal with whatever the issue is.

As far as I know, mine was built sufficiently after the roof issue came to light, so my presumption is that it would t need correction.

This is a little surprising considering there were a lot of 10/11 build weeks shipped end of October with glass roofs all delivered ..including my CA route 1. Something seems fishy...

Me too delivered 12/8 to me. CA RT1 in CA.

Exactly. More likely coordinating and maximizing truckers/trains. 15 cars per train I heard.

How true!

It is great to see @mfbrown get theirs—it proves these unicorns actually do exist! I just got back from a long weekend road trip to NYC from MA, and didn’t see a single Mach-E the entire time. At least I now know that the garage on 34th Street has EV charging, so no stop on the way home for future trips.

I’m hopeful that the hold will be lifted this week…we’ll see.

my palsapp finally updated, showing delivered to Norfolk Southern VOLTZ on 12/8. First movement I have seen in weeks. Contacted the dealer this morning and their system shows "pending update". They were calling to see if they could get more specifics. Not looking good for a 2021 delivery but fingers crossed!

Where are you located. My voltz was birmingham update was 11/8 and dealer received it on 12/6. California delivery.
