We were informed that it was a 22. I was informed that $750 was for price increase, not missing features. At that time they didn’t even have 2022 info on their website. It made no mention of this feature being taken out. In fact the sheet they prepared for dealers that talked about changes didn’t mention this. Again it’s really about they way we are finding out about it. It makes it look like this is a chip shortage issue, which is fine but they should have told us.Dan, We received an email from Ford on October 1st. Subject: Your order has been updated. This email informed us that our MME has been converted to a 22 model. The same email credited us $750 due to price increases.
There was no mention of acoustic glass in 2021 either, as shown by the window stickers I posted.Ok I just verified on my window sticker, it now lists "Power Liftgate" and no mention of acoustic glass. My car is "In production" as I type this![]()
Yes, I believe it says "acoustic glass". I will look next time I am out.To those who have the acoustic glass on their 21s, is there an engraving on the front driver and passenger windows that indicates this? I’m going to be chatting with my dealer about this issue and I want to know whether I’ll have a way to distinguish reality from any wishful thinking on my dealers’ part. I don’t think they’d try to mislead me, but I suspect they know about as much as I do at this point…
I don’t see anything on my premium about acoustic glass on the front windowsThere was no mention of acoustic glass in 2021 either, as shown by the window stickers I posted.

Right. The window sticker mentions nothing about acoustic glass on either the 2021 or 2022s.I don’t see anything on my premium about acoustic glass on the front windows
Thanks for checking for me/us. It was listed as a distinguishing feature of the Premium vs CAR1 when I went through the ordering process in Oct. Not there as of this morning, though. Yes, that's exactly what that means. https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/10-things-you-didn’t-know-about-ford-mustang-mach-e.1129/Thanks for checking for me/us. Yeah. It works about 25% of the time for me. I don’t usually bother any longer.I sweep it from left to right. You must have the PaaK or keyfob with you for it to work.
Yeah I attached a photo my 21 Premium says Laminated on the window, which I assume is Acoustic Laminate. Doesn’t say Acoustic Glass. Mine is July build.Right. The window sticker mentions nothing about acoustic glass on either the 2021 or 2022s.
The Order Guide for 2021 clearly states it. The 9/29/21 2022 order guide clearly states it. The 12/1/22 2022 order guide does not state it.

An aftermarket receiver hitch (for bikes) would have probably negated the functioning of the kick sensor. The foolish optimist in me hopes that they are doing this to make way for a factory hitch receiver for future customers. (My hands-free system works, but I almost always just use the button, which doesn't require dancing skills.)
Actually, most of the people that installed one found it did not.An aftermarket receiver hitch (for bikes) would have probably negated the functioning of the kick sensor.
Well, the tailgate IS behind you, isn’t it?Hmm, I seem to recall Ford’s CEO saying in September that “the worst of the chip shortage is behind us”…
