As a Job2er, I'm feeling so jealous :) Clearly, Jim F has his sights set on getting to #2 in a couple of years and is placing customer satisfaction as a top priority.

Having tried BC on local freeways, I'd have preferred the 1 year trial myself. Definitely needs improvement and new features (such as automatic lane changes) to the extent the current sensors allow, for it to be worthwhile to most folks. I can see it helping on long stretches though, out of the box.

I'm just going to pull out my crystal ball here and make a prediction. I think when job 1 cars get bc, it will be a newer version than the job 2 cars. Then I think job 2's first set of updates will bring all cars to the same level

Was 16 weeks quoted by Ford or your dealer? Regardless, it's possible that Ford will offer you something for the delay (250kWh of charging, etc.), but that has nothing to do with BlueCruise or the delay in its availability.
16 weeks was what was on the Ford website at that time, car dealer said we would have the car by October (which I knew was unrealistic). I sure hope we get something for a Q2 2022 delivery of a 2021 model. Just that sentence should have some class action lawyers smelling blood ;)

Well, you could pay $12,000 to have it permananetly enabled when - and if - it ever shows up. If you decide after paying that $12k you don't really like or want to use the feature you will be out $12k.

On the other hand if you pay $600 for 3 years and decide after that time the feature is useless/not worth it you are only out $600. Or, you can decide to keep the car and the feature for 60 years for the same $12k.

Not really sure why you would complain about paying less and having more choice, but I guess that is par for the course on this forum?
I wasn't complaining about getting free access. I just thought a $200 year subscription was a little high to pay every year.

I kind of wish they let you pay for it yearly instead of a 3 year package.

If I was a Ford stockholder, I'd want Ford to step up if they vastly overpromised and underdelivered on manufacturing timeframes, but only if they were way behind all the other car companies, which they are not. In your case, if you get your car in Q1, you'll still get the same tax rebate (albeit a year later), so you're monetarily not out anything. So I'd expect not a dime from Ford. But maybe we will all be pleasantly surprised.
That depends. I have already lost out $750 on a clean fuel CA rebate. The 0% financing options are gone and there's no guarantee that the $2500 rebate from Ford Options that I am wanting to avail will be available after Jan 31. The car's also literally depreciated sitting middle of nowhere in a lot in Mexico than delivered to me last year in Q4 being a 2021 model.

Again I don't want freebies at this time, I would just like the vehicle I've been waiting for. I am just looking for them to commit to certain window of dates for delivery of the outstanding 2021 orders.

Btw they are behind other car companies. A friend of mine ordered the Model Y in PA one month after me and got delivery over thanksgiving. Another in CA ordered another Model Y 2 months after me and is getting delivery this week. Many on this forum have moved over to other EV options as you've been seeing too.

Also I would like to take my negativity out of this thread. I wholeheartedly agree that what Ford has done is a great gesture for all those that dealt with the software and OTA delays in 2021. Congratulations and enjoy the free year.

it wouldn't have hurt for them to give another complimentary year to all 2021 builds, just to compensate for the build delays
The way they have it structured now is compensation for the job 1 cars that had no possibility of using BlueCruise and won’t for potentially 15 months. Otherwise It’d be like the additional 250 kWh charging at EA that some of us got and can not use (ever). Oh boy! I get a free year of BlueCruise that I can’t use either, I’ll just add that to my useless stuff basket.
