Anyone had 10,000 mile service performed?

my dealer wants to charge $65 for the 10,000 service, which really is tire rotation and looking at a few things, but not doing anything about it. If i have a tire shop rotate the tires for $20 does that void the warranty since they have not checked things?

I would suggest finding another dealer....I can't comment on warranty, but there is value to have them check/update software.

Yea, I’m at 9400 miles myself and I don’t plan on taking my Stang to the dealer any time soon.. first off I have a staggered offset on my rims since I’m rolling on 22’s so they can’t be rotated. As for the rest of the checkup.. unless it’s broke I don’t want to be a Guinea pig for the dealers to get their crap together

The service advisor should know about this.... And so should the cashier who will actually be doing the payment processing. He or she will need to know the email address associated with your FordPass Rewards account. This is used whenever you want to earn or redeem points.

I just had the vehicle in for warranty windsheild and panoramic roof repair. They updated all the software.
So just took the car to my local tire store and they rotated the tires for free. They said you will come back when you need tires. Do not really need the dealer to check levels and brakes at 10,000 miles!

My dealer charged $19.95 for the 10k service. They did the work while they were replacing a front strut (free of charge).

Yeah, I checked the maintenance schedule and they only say miles not time so you're right.

I think the reasoning is, tires wear based on mileage. Cars with oil, they claim the oil breaks down even if it sits, which is why they give a mileage or time.
