WTH is coal rollers? I learn something new all the time with you guys.
Dummies that like to pump black smoke from their trucks cause it’s bad for the environment. Even when gas is $5 a gallon. They sometimes like to get in front of EVs and do it.WTH is coal rollers? I learn something new all the time with you guys.
That happens all the time in rural NC. Didn’t know it had a name. ??Dummies that like to pump black smoke from their trucks cause it’s bad for the environment. Even when gas is $5 a gallon. They sometimes like to get in front of EVs and do it.
Mustang owners really do get mad at us for the name like we picked it??FWIW, I own an Ice Mustang (Ecoboost), and hope to join the Mach-E family soon. I am in an ecoboost forum very similar to this one as well.
Lots of ICE Mustang owners do not like the Mach-E, and do not consider it to be a Mustang. This is similar to the treatment ecoboost owners get from ICE GT owners (dismissive comments, revved engines at traffic lights, etc.). They take a narrow mind towards Mustang, and can't get past a Mustang being an EV SUV with GT350 performance.
Not me - can't wait till they reopen ordering for the CR1!
That’ll unfortunately come more prevalent here… GT over everything. I have a base select lol. Though, I can careless and I love my Select. I’ll say, coming from a wrangler, the community didn’t care about your trim level. If anyone did say anything, it was that your Jeep was a mall crawler instead of a rock crawler.FWIW, I own an Ice Mustang (Ecoboost), and hope to join the Mach-E family soon. This is all I’ve had. One bizarre time it was two, one on either side of me. We were in moderate traffic, so I know they didn’t think racing was possible. Intimidation? Failed, if so. This was last week. My daughters in the back seat were asking me for an explanation. I just said, “I don’t know girls, but they’re wasting a lot of money to say hi to us”.I only get ICE mustangs revving their engines, not sure how to take that
What state are you in?When I drove a Tesla, I often saw little microaggressions from other drivers, particularly pickups, and especially diesels. Some of it was imagined, sure, fed by stories of coal rolling, tailgating, brake checking, ICEing chargers, etc.
I also saw regular-way aggressions, including coal rolling, tailgating, brake checking, ICEing chargers, etc. Sometimes a little scary, often annoying, and always unnecessary.
So, I wonder, do you get the same thing when driving a Mach-E? I mean, it's got a Ford logo on it, so that ought to make some people's heads explode and might change some others' minds. Does the Mach-E get away with being an EV because it's not an obvious EV?
Curious what other's experience has been.
Connecticut, but with a lot of road time in the more rural sections of NY, CT, MA, and NJ. I grew up in AR and NC, and can say authoritatively that rednecks are everywhere. What state are you in?
Mine doesn’t have a Ford logo on it, but I have not noticed any aggressive behavior by other drivers based on it being an EV. In our neck of the woods I see dozens of Teslas a day…I’m surprised people still even react to the things. When I drove a Tesla, I often saw little microaggressions from other drivers, particularly pickups, and especially diesels. I sold my procharged Mach 1 a few months ago, but I constantly refer to my Mach E as a mustang as often as I possibly can just because it annoys so many people. I get a kick out of how upset “mustang people” get that this is a mustang.FWIW, I own an Ice Mustang (Ecoboost), and hope to join the Mach-E family soon. Hmm....don't all drivers in New England treat each other like that?Connecticut, but with a lot of road time in the more rural sections of NY, CT, MA, and NJ. I grew up in AR and NC, and can say authoritatively that rednecks are everywhere.
