Here is my only question . . . if I switch back, did I lose my place in line, or will I still get my car in 2020? That is my only question right now to try and decide which trim I finally want. Tough decision, but that is extremely important financially with the tax credit to get delivery in 2020.
For anyone wanting to switch a non-Mach Drop FE order I'm assuming that just switching trims or changing batteries (standard vs. extended) is just modifying your existing order, not creating a new one. You should keep your priority attached to the order even if the specs are modified.

This Mach Drop is adding a new layer of complexity. I think you're right that the Mach Drop FE created a new FE order so trying to switch from a Mach Drop FE to a different trim may mean another new order and new place in line? If you call the Ford Help desk maybe they can help you keep your pre-Mach Drop timestamp priority?

No price change on UK website yet. ? ??
Heard the Ford.com site was down yesterday, most likly being updated. We will have to wait and see if the price drop is for all or just US citizens. Ford appears to be doing a good job on the mach, 0-60 down, HP up, torque up, range up (hopefully) and price down (cross your fingers). Looking forward to this; we are pretty excited about our first EV. Will be good to see the first owner reviews come in.

Curious, did anyone with an FE "drop" dealer order receive the price reduction email from Ford?

Not me. But I haven't heard of anyone's Machdrop order being entered into the order book yet (WBDO) so I'm not expecting anything until then.

I was NOT in the Mach Drop promo, but switched the week before when my dealer offered the switch. My dealer sees the $1,000 price drop online. I can't see anything about the order now, and online it only shows my now cancelled premium. I got the email notice, and that has me log in to see the cancelled Premium which is ironic.

Why can't Ford understand that part of the excitement that we are generating for them would be greatly enhanced by just giving us some bread crumbs along the way? It's very short sighted.

Ours were ordered through a different system they use. My original also shows as cancelled. When the vin# and build week are generated in a couple of weeks, they should be able to provide those details for us.

I know there is another thread out there, but this thread has the most eyes on it right now so I’m going to do a little hijacking here. I get the X-Plan through work. I’ve never used it before, but along with the price reduction yesterday, when I looked at the X-Plan site today there is also an incentive. That incentive was never there before. Looks like $2500 off, which is big. For a “Mach Dropper” that gets me back to the new reduced premium level pricing. How accurate are those incentives and will I be able to get that when I buy the car?

Seems like the odds of getting any trim other than an FE delivered in 2020 are pretty slim. If that's your top criteria, I'd probably keep the FE order.

We haven't heard much more on OKTB lately, but if it's true that no customer vehicles leave the plant until OKTB, and if that's still expected in late Nov (11/23 was the date mentioned), that would mean maybe a 3-week window in Dec for a few thousand vehicles to arrive at US dealerships. Presumably mostly FEs (perhaps almost exclusively).

Don't know if that's still all accurate, but that's what we were told.
There might be a smattering of other trimlines in initial shipments but unless someone has an extremely low reservation number, its highly unlikely they'll be seeing an MEE in their driveway this year

Incentives come and go over time. Your dealer will apply any incentives available at the time of sale not at the time of the order.

Make sure you have in the correct zip code. Those extra incentives are state based.

There is nothing for Florida..... :(

So I sent my dealer the bulletin that was posted about changing trims and he just called me back. He was laughing because I send him the bulletins before he sees them from Ford.

Anyway . . . he said he talked to his regional sales rep and they told him that if I change back to the Premium, I go back to the END of the line. What a way to treat someone who reserved and gave you $500 10 minutes after launch. Oh well, I am staying with the FE. Glass half full philosophy.

Here is the BAD part of what he said . . . either way, I would NOT see the car in 2020. First Edition or Premium. He said the FE would be the first to ship, but they told him I would not get my car until next year. I filled him in on all our intel, and he admitted I probably know more than him, but Ford, what are your dealers and sales people doing to your customers?

So @trutolife27 , does this sound like they are full of baloney? I am guessing the next two weeks will be telling.

Hopefully they are just managing expectations and better to let customers be pleasantly surprised instead of of having a bunch of unhappy customers if they can't deliver all of the FE this year.

Might not truly know for the next 3 months....
