Does this price reduction also apply to the European (Dutch) market?
US only at the mo. No announcement for EU. Chances are we’ll get nothing as per usual!

Unfortunately Emma Bergg has confirmed on Twitter that it’s US only ☹

Wow (with all the computer/code/OS comparisons).

I'm all PC and started with the original TRS-80 Model I. Learned Z80 assembly on that, moved on to a PCjr (yup had one), and then several Amiga's (including one with a video toaster--anyone remember them?). Somewhere in there got a couple of EE degrees (can't spell "Geek" without a double-E)...

@eastern refugee I have been watching the options/loan rates, and if you notice the previous rates ended yesterday. As has been the pattern when the rates expire it goes back to a default 5% with no incentives, but within a day or so they put the old rates back in with the same incentive expiring in a month. Before you get worked up and call for the pitchforks, let's see what happens. As been said numerous times, the rates and incentives are placeholders anyway.

Ah, but did you have a Commodore 64? My first computer. Well, if you don't count my TI SR-52 I had in high school, which technically was a computer too. Sort of. I wrote little programs for it and used little magnetic strips to read and write from.

I had one of those TI programmable calculators in High School. Every time I turned it off, the program was gone. Spend half an hour entering a program to solve quadratic equations, and then poof - gone. I don't think the model I had could read any media. We also learned to program in BASIC on an HP with a card reader.

Fun times, and not many dates while in High School. Most girls did not think being able to program quadratic equation solutions on a calculator was a cool party trick. Might be why I didn't pursue programming beyond that level.

Wow guys really hard to keep up.
Emma Berg just confirmed that the price cut is USA-only:
Who does Emma Berg think she is; breaking my bubble like that. Did she say just U.S. or just US in this forum? Now I am really feel sorry for all that only got 1000 off. Hope they throw a bone to Canada.
Supposedly there was one in August, but that may have slipped to September. It also depends on if you are talking about First Editions, Premiums, or others. We definitely passed the revised-again First Edition date, except for the Mach Drop (maybe?). There are lots of details we just don't know for sure.
My dealer noted deadline August 28 and that is when my order had to go in. I have no idea what order # or line that puts me in? We understand that they are so back logged on demand that they issued more FE to leap frog new orders in front of older. Totally confusing and not too transparent. They have Tesla, not only their vehicle but their PR, down to a tee.
I need to know how many bottles of wine or Champagne will fit in the frunk. That cup holder thing should hold a corkscrew. Glasses can go in the ice.
When autonomous driving kicks in count me in.
386sx16 before the co-processor, DOS 3.0-6.22 then Windows 3.1-present. 2400baud US Robotics (atdt), Trumpet Winsock, gopher, lynx http -> Netscape Navigator -> IE -> Firefox, USENET (alt.binaries). IRC -> mIRC -> AIM -> ICQ -> today. ComputorEdge magazine BBS's, Telix and sysops. I'm old enough for all that, but not that old.
Since we have now confirmed all to be tech nerds I see no reason we can not all get along unless we do not like ourselves. I biked to pick up a math co-processor for my 386; once plugged in I was just flying. Good old Watfiv with structured fortran and punch cards. Now we have trash80 (TRS80) vehicles; that's too .

That is the funny thing: BEV's have been marketed to the "green" people but everyone that I've met who is interested or owns an EV (coworkers, people at plug-in week events, etc.) have all been techy nerds (yeah ok I'm in Southeastern Michigan so most people here are engineers of some sort LOL).

I just think EV marking is way off due to my perspective.

Oh by the way: more software engineers are needed! LOL.

Marketing may be off but their is not too much sense educating nerds. Just tell them what they do not know . Go ahead I dare you ;).

I would guess most on this forum are pretty tech forward whether or not that is their profession. I would guess a lot think green too - not mutually exclusive. But how representative are we of the overall Mach E demographic? That would be interesting to know.

Technical education (knowledge if self taught) and the understanding of planet earth, as you state, are not mutually exclusive. Unfortunate thing is that politicians here are not even lawyers anymore but some other form of nonsense. The people will transform the industry not politicians by the looks of it. I am so glad that Ford is swamped with orders and have the patience to wait (for so long).

Yup. Lease up on 12/14. Was told if I switch I go back to the end of the line even though my original reservation was 10 minutes after launch. They cancelled my original reservation. While I could probably try to fight that, I’m tired of all that now, so just sticking with the FE and hoping for delivery by year end. And that does make a big difference as to when you get that $7500 tax credit. While I did not adjust withholding counting on it, I would like to see that cash in 2021 and not 2022.

(edit to add a true story about why I know about this comic)
I used to work full time as a Unix admin (mostly HP-UX, some Solaris, some other stuff you probably never heard of)... I had this comic printed out, hung on my cube wall, with a nickel taped to it.

I still manage three SCO unix based networked systems!!!!

And to really prove old age, I sold and programmed Ohio Scientific systems in the late 70's...

:) :) :)

The all-new Ford Mustang Mach-E is competitively priced for the Canadian market.
^SB" VW not releasing canadian prices might just have screwed me over. We'll wait and see but it might be as i feared.
