If it doesn't, connected services has been having issues which could cause issues
Ok. I’ll be patient. I received 2.5.2 this morning so expected bluecruise, but no. Would be nice to have before my long drive tomorrow.

Any one in the Atlanta, GA area got TSB 22-2117 applied successfully to get the 1.7.1 update unstuck. If so, what dealer? Angela Krause Ford of Roswell hasn't given me a lot of confidence in their ability to handle this.
I just had TSB 22-2117 completed at Loganville Ford. I'm now unstuck and waiting for a successful OTA.

Awesome, Thanks. Going to give to Jim Ellis Ford in Roswell a try. When I talked to them on the phone they were able to telnet into my car and confirm that I am missing several updates due to the stuck 1.7.1. In that 5 minute conversation they provided me with more information than the 6 months at the other dealership. So figures crossed :)

Those've you who have had the update successfully completed, did your dealer use their cables or did you provide them? Mine seems to fail incessantly. My dealer has gotten it locked out for 5 days now.

I'm afraid I'm headed for an APIM.

I brought new adapters and a cable but my dealer left them untouched. I assume they used Rotunda pieces.

Last update for me:

22-2117 applied on Tuesday, 21g01 installed Wednesday and Thursday, 2.5.2 OTA received Saturday, and this morning, the car started up with BlueCruise. My car is like brand new.
Keep the faith!

So I’ve been stuck since last October and finally have the fix scheduled for this week but haven’t taken it in yet. For the first time that I can recall, last night I got an actual Sync version instead of the normal - - . Anyone know the significance of this??

People stuck on 1.7.1 have sometimes randomly gotten a sync version showing up and then soonish after it disappears. The question will be if yours stays that way. In which case something truly weird and amazing happened

Stevey, please let me know how it goes. I have been having a hard time finding a dealer to do it. I live in East Cobb, Space White '21 Premium. Did you get the good info from them or the dealership in Logansville?

Do you think they actually connected directly to your car for inquiry? I always thought that there is some data base back at Ford.com that keeps track of software by VIN. I guess I really don't know how the OTA process queues up individual updates. Good luck, it sounds like you found a savvy service department. BTW I'm still waiting for an additional OTA update after 22-2117.

Well, the local dealership has had it for about 7 hrs now and TSB 22-2117 is not going through.

The technician was on the telephone with a Ford Field Service Engineer (FSE) who warned him not to try repeating it 5x or face the week-long lockout. According to the service advisor I spoke with, he was told that there are dozens of cars with this problem stacked up currently (presumably nationwide), and my technician is waiting to hear back from the Ford FSE on the next steps to take.

Since similar scenarios have been reported throughout this thread, anyone here have any idea what was ultimately done to push this thing forward on their vehicles..?

(My guess is expansion of Ford server capacity may be an answer, but that doesn't help me right now... Nor would that address whatever else COULD be problematic)

Update: my dealership was instructed to replace the APIM and program it, probably with Ford FSE guidance. My guess is that they will then try to see if the vehicle is able to properly get OTA updates. If not, I suspect the gateway module will also be replaced. Since my experience could be helpful to some, I'll continue to do updates till this is resolved

Just got the car back. It took the dealership 4 days to complete the TSB and associated updates. They claimed there were no issues on their end but Ford servers were "slow". They also replaced my Gateway Interface Module. They claimed that Blues Cruise was successfully added.

Looks like I am no longer stuck on 1.7.1. I can now toggle automatic updates, the new game apps have appeared on main screen. Apple Maps direction now show on center display. Sync software version from the widget says SYNC4 v4.0.21281, .

But no Blues Cruise (as far as I can tell). My EA page on internet shows I am "enrolled" in BlueCruie. I cannot find anything on settings referencing BC, and when I toggle active cruise control, it also looks the some. Do I still need to receive some OTA update or activation?
Gateway interface module, is that the APIM? That is getting replaced tomorrow for me.

No, APIM I believe is different than the Gateway Module.

Yup, this is where my car is at. The lockout ends tomorrow and they are going to try again.
