I have it in email from the salesperson with my direct question of whether the quoted price will be honored. It's not quite a signed attestation, but so far they seem to be on the up and up about it all. The car is built and should be here soon!
if your car is already built then you will not be effected by the price increase. When did you order?

I picked up a reservation for a GT after someone canceled their order. Car was built 3/29 and shipped already. Since I didn't place the original order and only have a $500 refundable deposit on the car and no other paperwork, I asked my sales guy whether the original MSRP will be honored. This is what I was told: "Once the window sticker is made its set in stone. The price increase is just for cars that have not been built yet."

And this would be consistent with uninformed salespeople….. he’s wrong.

The price is honored from when you ordered. Not when it gets a window sticker nor when it’s built.

You've posted this several times, and I believe you-- but there's conflicting info on this thread. Are the folks who are saying Mach-E's aren't invoiced to the dealer until Kansas City just bs'ing? Is their any authoritative information as to when a Mach-E is actually invoiced?

Exceptions may apply if you have a sh*tty dealer

This is a gray area, usually price protection only applies to the person who originally placed the order. Since you didn't order it, i don't think price protection will apply.

The invoice date is listed on the window sticker near the bottom. This is the date the order is sent to the plant and the invoice is created at the same time.
I do not work for Ford, but read other forums. The Blue Oval Forums is ran by Ford employees, they tend to have great information.

Yes, order date definitley makes more sense to me. I just took his response as confirmation that my incoming car ordered originally by someone else will be sold to me for the "old" MSRP. This is the only dealership here that doesn't add any markup to Mach-E

Hmm…. I wouldn’t assume that.

As has been mentioned many times here, price protection only applies to the person who originally ordered the car, not to cancelled orders.

If you have a specific agreed price, get it in writing from the dealer.

MSRP is a made up number anyways. The price you pay for a new car has always been whatever you negotiated and agree with the dealership.

Does this mean if I've had a dealer approved order, but not scheduled for a CR1 AWD, I'm basically paying an additional 5k?
No, you are price protected. Make sure you keep your original order sheet so the dealer honors the price.

Your dealer should honor your order price prior to price increase. Use this to help you when talking to the dealer.

Finalized my purchase yesterday. Totally smooth, though time consuming. Prices honored per my original October 2021 order date.

I’m a little unclear as to what the price increases are going to apply to, given that you can’t presently order any MMEs right now. Is it simply what the model year 23 is going to cost, whenever they get around to opening up the order banks?
