Could you upgrade to 40amp breaker so your run is a continuous 32 amp?
I am not an Electrical engineer nor an electrician. The design point of this particular charging unit is 16 Amps. As far as I know that is the maximum it would allow. When I upgrade my breaker to 40a(currently it is hard wired) so I plan to install a plug. I plan to have an electrician do the work. But for now it should work with no problem it would just be slow.

If I am not mistaken, your electrician will not install a 40amp breaker unless you also upgrade the "wire" to the outlet or what you call plug. You are looking at either 10awg or 8awg wire that you can price from Lowes/Home Depot or other to obtain a cost figure.

Currently it is a 10 awg (which handles up to a 30A circuit)but the run is only a few feet. I would assume a licensed electrician would not upgrade the circuit without upgrading the wire. I would think he would lose his license but I would make sure he would do that. I am in no hurry and I would need a cost estimate.

That includes what? What are the details of your current setup? I bought the 50 amp breaker from Home Depot for less than $15, the 50 feet of 6AWG wire at $165, the NEMA 1450 outlet (under $20), about 10 feet of 3/4 inch conduct plus a several j and 90 degree bends (less than $35), conduct holder staples (under $5), a hole saw ($12), tube glue (($5). Ran the wire thru the basement from the electric panel box, thru a location above the door into the garage, mounted the conduct to 2 by 4's, paid a handyman $250 for 60 minutes of work to hook up the system and mount.

Maybe from Amazon?

Amazon Home Services has an estimator for Electric Car Charger Installation.

Home Services > Electrical > Electric Vehicle EV Home Charging Station Installation

Selected:
Panel in Basement
Before 1990, No Upgraded Panel
50 to 100 Feet
this is Handy. I wonder if pricing will be discounted/subsidized with the purchase of a Mach E.

$3,471

Which seems to be about double or triple what it should cost since I already have a 200 amp panel and the service only covers installing the NEMA 14-50 outlet or hard wiring a charging station, 50 amp breaker, and associated wiring/conduit.

I'm not buying a charging station. I'm going to be using the provided mobile EVSE for occasional home use since I can do my daily charging at work.

I didn't mention but I had a 200 amp service line with a large breaker box with multiple free slots. It took around 6 hours of my labor on the project which did not include the time spent traveling to and from Home Depot-studying/looking up details, etc.

Those Amazon costs look outrageous to me. Depends on one's home layout, of course. And how big of a charging station. But still.

I'm just planning on using the 32A Ford Mobile Charger that comes included. Pretty sure I have enough capacity on my panel (home built in 2014). 50 feet of 8awg should do it ($25 at HD). A breaker, outlet, and other assorted parts should come to less than $100. Even with $500 labor that's around $600.

I have used the Black and Decker book of home wiring to do my own wiring, you can get a permit to do your own work and have it inspected afterwards, which can potentially save a lot on installation. If you are a DIY type this may be an option. When I bought our home it had a 14-50 outlet connected to a 50A breaker, I'm debating about getting a bigger breaker and wiring so I could use the 48A charger, but since i have a juicebox 40 already its probably not worth the expense even if I sell the juicebox.
