I talked to sales manager. They told me they are trying to reach out to Ford rep. Hopefully Ford rep comes through or I should say hopefully dealership communicates that with me if ford rep comes through.

From their behavior so far it is very difficult to trust dealership. They are behaving as if they don't care if I buy or not. Sales rep's behavior is condescending towards me and I can not do anything but put up with it since I want the car I ordered. I never thought I would be bullied by a car dealership when I am trying to spend ~55k on a car. unfortunately dealer is holding all the cards here. Ford needs to up their game to improve customer experience if they are to beat Tesla.

I even called ford marketing few times. they said there is nothing they can do to stop dealer from hiking price/charging more dealer fees or treating me the way they are doing.

I want to reiterate for folks expecting deliveries soon. please talk about your car MSRP well ahead of delivery so that you can prepare for all the documents you can show to dealer well in advance. if car is already at the lot you have limited time to prepare for the fight.
This would be a perfect time for @Ford Motor Company to please DM us your VIN and Dealership name, as THIS is not something you should be experiencing with your MME. I really hope you can get this worked out. Good luck.

I just got this as well. I'm thinking our cars are off the train, and the train is moving on. I think at this point we are just tracking that train car on its lifetime journey. But I don't know that's what I am telling myself.
I think this is right. If you railcar was recently 'released empty', expect United Road to update to Pending pickup within a day... That is... If United Road does deliveries for your dealership. It seems like some in the NYC area use separate carriers and United Road never updates.

I also tried requesting activation in ford pass, and today somebody activated it. The car is still in Mexico...

How do you do this? Mine just says feature unavailable. This vehicle cannot be activated at this time. Please try again once you've taken delivery of your vehicle.

Well, according to the phone line, I just departed Oak Island at 10:55am. I hope they did not forget to empty this train car that I was on. Imagine if I was left behind and the next time my MME sees sunlight is when the doors open up back at Richards-Gebaur. Two thousand puzzled MMEs at the airport prison camp looking up at me in a near-empty car. ugg

Should I do this? Is it bad to do it in any way?
I'm tempted. I'm just worried it will screw something up if my salesperson tries to do something when the car arrives. I'm holding off for now unless my status on the car fades.

The downside is that it starts your 3 years of blue cruise and navigation, so if you don't mind that then might as well.

I don't know anything about this to be honest, I just wanted to confirm if my car was still in Mexico, which seems to be the case ?

I believe somebody mentioned that cars will be hard reset before leaving the factory, and it would not work anymore for tracking purposes (would've been cool to be able to track them this way through the trains/trucks...)

If your car is already shipped, maybe that's the reason you can't do it. But also, I don't want to give you any misleading information, so unless you know for sure your car has been shipped, not being able to do the activation does not really mean anything...

I have never seen anything like it. Basically Ford rep confirmed with dealer that price protection exists but dealership told me they are still going to charge updated MSRP due to supply chain shortages. Effectively they are taking $2000 markup from me. if I don't buy car they sell it to someone for even more profit with 5-10k markup. I will buy the car and hope ford corporate takes my complaint seriously and cuts me back the check instead of dealership.

That sucks.

Someone else mentioned they made too much of a stink about something before the purchase was made, and the dealership refused to sell to them.; they didn't want to get dinged on the post-sale survey that Ford sends out.

yeah I have decided only way to stick it to them is by buying car and giving bad reviews everywhere. I can lodge official complain to Ford corporate about this behavior and hope that They will do the right thing if they are worried about their reputation. if I make to much fuss now they will just sell it to someone else. anyone will buy it in a heartbeat if they can get it without waiting a minute. if anyone has any better suggestion please bring it to my notice.
