You're talking about the brake coach "% energy returned" scores? My understanding is that it only shows up in Engage Mode without 1PD (not whisper and unbridled). If you have 1PD drive engaged, it's already 100% regen (except for when you engage the brake pedal with enough force when needed for quicker stopping of course).I've been using unbridled 1 pedal and getting used to it. After reading ur msg, I changed to different setting and can only see the regen message when I'm not in 1 pedal. What gives? It doesn't or can't tell us "all the time"?
I don't think there is any other way to track regen live but in FordPass app under your EV driving history you can see your brake score by trip. Mine is almost always in the upper 90s, so I don't think there is much room for improvement (e.g. using more regen)!
My overall feeling is that 1PD vs no 1PD accomplish essentially the same thing (maximizing use of regen)-- but not engaging 1PD gives you a bit more finite control about how fast you are slowing down, with almost all of the regen benefits retained. I think it is also safer to have 1PD off, especially if you still have to drive other vehicles without 1PD on occasion.
