Hi!

I'll send in my pony for some regular service tomorrow and potential fixing the TSB 22-2150 as it's stuck on 1.7.1 OTA Update.

Would anyone be so kind to check my VIN for any pending updates so i know what additional updates I may need?

VIN: WF0TK1E7XMMA24517

Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi - Could someone run my VIN and let me know what modules need updating please. Trying to decide if it's time to spring for the Mongoose. Depends on what needs updating.

I have the exact same issue. My last update received was the BC map update. Called the dealer Friday and am still waiting for them to schedule an appointment.
Do you know if some of them failed to install? It's not too many that were available for Job 2/ GT cars.
I hope that OTAs still can be installed based on the scheduled time that is still shown in FordPass, and the problem is only in the ability to display it when the scheduler is opened next time.

I do not see any failures. I have auto updates turned on. I have a good wi fi signal at home in the garage and at least 3 bars on the AT& T. Like you I have the schedule in Ford Pass, but the car reverts to Thursday at midnight. It would be nice to have the Power Up that allows for scheduling more that one day. I have a very nice dealer, but they are small and have only sold 2 MME. I am seriously considering investing in the Mongoose and do my updates myself through FDRS since I intend to keep the car long term.

UPDATE: I spoke with the Ford OTA department and they had me delete the Ford Pass app and re-install to try and resolve the conflict in the schedule between the car and the app. They believe this schedule conflict was preventing the OTA. So far the schedule has stayed in the car after doing this. I will update this afternoon and after some time has passed. At last check the car and app agreed for the first time.

UPDATE 2: Deleting the app and reinstalling did not resolve the issue. So I deleted the car from the app and then deleleted the app. Ford also had me do a Sync reset and then set a new schedule. So far the schedule is still correct in the car. I have it set for 5 PM toinght and they provided all the preconditions to meet to have the car ready to receive the OTA. Dirven for at least 30 minutes. Ignition off with the parking brake on. Recently charged (not defined). We shall see, but for now the scheule has remained in the car.

Mike was kind enough to provide a list of my outstanding updates and I have the Mongoose Plus and 30A Power Supply coming tomorrow. Of the updates in my list, can anyone please confirm if any are the "massive" ones that take hours to complete. I'm comfortable doing the shorter ones but not brave enough yet for the others. Thanks!!!

I applied all those updates and a few more and it took about an hour and a half from the time I opened the hood until I closed it. I had never used FDRS before.

The only one that took any length of time was the RFA(and I really recommend applying that one!) which took about 20 minutes.

I started with the PCM which applied several in the correct order and then just worked my way from top to bottom for the remaining.

Here are the timings as reported by FDRS for my session:

Well done you!

There are some, like the ones you just did that Ford refers to as 'coordinated' updates. So like the recall you just did, if you had selected any of the updates involved (BECM, PCM , SOBD, SOBDMB, SOBDMC) it would have started with the PCM and worked it's way through those updates in the sequence Ford has intended, regardless of which one you picked first in that list. And the same would hold true with the 21G01 BlueCruise update. Selecting any of the modules involved in updating to BlueCruise would automatically start off with programming the CCM, even if you'd randomly picked the IPC, IPMA, PSCM, APIM, etc. first.

There are no 'massive' CAN bus updates you have to worry about in that list. Make sure you turn your wipers completely off and rain sensing as well cause the DSM programming can make the wipers wipe the whole time it's being programmed. I didn't know that at the time and just gently closed my front hood down to rest on the top of my powersupply and lifted the wipers off the glass while it did it's thing. Once it starts programming the wipers switch has no effect at that point so you'll just have to wait till it's done for the wipers to stop.

Also, be ready for stupid messages to flash across displays, like 911 assist is broken and possibly other more dire warnings...all of which are meaningless because it's the programming that's causing them to appear.

At the end of your programming (and I do this before I start as well actually), turn the car completely on and then select the option to "View CMDTCs" to review and clear the DTC codes. That way you leave all the modules showing green good to go status before you disconnect.

UPDATE 3: Still an issue. I reinstalled the app and added the car and once again the OTA schedule defaulted/changed back to Thursday at midnight. I have a trip tomorrow so I wanted nav and charging. I will try and not to nose in at EA tomorrow and no WOT. FMC OTA department worked hard to resolve it. I have a case number and will call them on Wednesday. Seems very strange that the schedule stays correct in the app and faults in the car. I am doing scheduling in the car. Any ideas anyone?

Mike thanks for this.

To your knowledge, are any of these part of the Blue Cruise chain? (e.g. PCM, or SOBDMC?) Blue Cruise died in my car and I'd like to focus on the modules the are involved.

Thanks for your thoughts... And thanks for your time.

Nope none of those listed modules are involved with BlueCruise. But there is a TSB out for those who have lost BC (or other functionality/features) and it may apply here.
