Apart from the price increases, I find myself most bothered by the idea that the 360 camera requires a subscription after 90 days with some trims. I really hate this philosophy for features like this.

Regarding pricing, I wouldn't have purchased mine at the new price, especially without the tax credit. No way would I accept the software issues at this full price. Hands-free Bluecruise just disappeared on me (again) today for the last 100 miles of a 220 mile return trip. I reset the infotainment system twice and still no luck. I effectively paid about $50k for my car (after credit and Ford Options). But dealing with this nonsense at $65k? No way.

Yeah, definitely not upgrading now. Any ideas as to if these cars even qualify for the proposed new EV tax credit?

Looks like our 22 is exactly $9k less than the same build would be for 23.

Except that EVERYONE is raising their prices too.

This is the benefit of a high MSRP. They can test the market.

Right now, all Mach Es are presold at full price with a 6-9 month waiting list.

Until Ford has inventory cars sitting on lots for months…… no need to lower the price.

And if they do….. rebates show up.

Plus all the cars you listed are significantly more expensive. Both starting price and loaded up.
Except that's not true. Take a look at the prices.

A Mach E GTPE is $76k.
Lyriq AWD is $64k.
A very well equipped quad motor R1S large battery with about 320 mile range is only $79k.
The Macan EV is predicted to start in the $70k-$80k range.
The only vehicle I listed starting above $80 is the iX.

All of those vehicles have comparable or better performance and features that a similarly prices Mach E.

The Mach E is now squarely in the price range of higher end luxury brand vehicles, which will make it very hard for the Mach E to compete.

I'm not knocking the Mach E. I bought one of the first ones. I have a premium AWD ER, which was a deal at the time I bought it.

There was virtually no competition at the time outside of Tesla.

Times have changed.

The competition is heating up, and I don't think the Mach E will do well at these prices. Perhaps the lower end Mach Es will find a niche in the market, but I can't fathom the GTPE doing well at its current price range.

Good! The Mach-E already has too many blue hair retirees buying up GTs and driving them like a Prius then coming on here bragging about 300 mile range. Cringe. I was really hoping that the GT & GTPE would get sportier for 2023. At least the price is higher so luxury buyers can pivot over to a luxury brand instead of coming on here to complain that their car doesn't have cooled seats, massaging seats or doesn't ride like a Lexus.

Lincoln! Hurry up and make some EVs for these folks.

Based on your name, I assume you are waiting for an electric Pontiac GTO?

GOAT = Greatest Of All Time.

I was wrong and regret my user name. The MME is not quite GOAT status. I am waiting for a Mach-E worthy of the Mustang name because our cars aren't it. Yet. Perhaps an actual sports car or SUV with some stamina? The MME GT is still a great option for a sporty SUV. I just wish that it was more aggressive. You know, like an actual Mustang GT

Just kidding, my dad had a GTO when I was in high school, couldn’t wait to get my license to drive it, got about 7 gallons to the mile but gas was only 25 cents a gallon, so who cared

Wait for the Macan, it may be what you want, although I am afraid of what they may charge

You aren’t even close to comparing apples to apples.

You’re comparing base models of theirs to top model of ours.

Quad motor R1S is also $91k!

And Lyriq doesn’t have “comparable or better performance.”

The Mach E starts tens of thousands cheaper. The “value” in any car tends to be in the base model and base price. Not the loaded up one.

Load up any of the cars you mentioned and they’re tens of thousands more. The price difference is still significant.

I do agree the competition is good.

At the end of the day, the market will decide if “the price is right.” And if not? Here come the rebates.

And no heated seats, heated steering wheel, or power folding mirrors.

I was referring to the 2022 Select with technology/comfort package upgrade. I was noting that they basically incorporated that technology part of the package into the standard package for 2023.
Im sorry but just to make sure that i understood properly: are you saying that those options are not available anymore on the select model or that you have to pay extra to have them? I ordered the select model with the comfort package and they were included

Yes, following the reply chain a bit those were listed by someone else previously. Good to have it all in one post now though!

'23 Select compared to '22 Select w/ Comfort/Tech
-Blue Cruise and 360 Camera is only available for a 90 day trial (added cost to extend)
-no power liftgate
-no cargo area cover
-no heated seats
-no heated steering wheel,
-no power folding mirrors.
-4-way instead of 6-way passenger seat adjustment
Does it mean that we have to pay extra to gave them? It feels insane to pay mote 50k for a car and not having those bacic options…we are talking heated seats and steering wheel here ! Basic for me
