Per FC, my car is on the move out of the dreaded Argentine ramp 6M riding on Burlington Northern & Santa Fe Railway Co New ETA per FC is Jan 6th...

Edit:
For those on BNSF, I found this post of tracking the railcar using the CSX system helpful
https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/anyone-here-able-to-track-a-bnsf-railcar.8475/#post-159020

BNSF doesn't give you tracing access directly, but with the CSX system I was able to confirm it's on the move through Kansas towards the West Coast.

I have had the car for less than 2 weeks and now it is back at the dealership for service. I was in a rush on pick up day so I didn't test drive it which was a mistake. The steering wheel makes loud clicking/popping sounds when turning and the liftgate gets stuck halfway and doesn't open all the way up. On top of that, Blue Cruise does not work. I get this is a 1st gen model but I was hoping there would be less issues now that we are in year 3. They say it would take a few days for them to "figure" things out since it is an 1st Gen EV.

I advise everyone to thoroughly check the vehicle out before accepting delivery.

Dang sorry to hear about the issues.

For the Blue Cruise issue, based on other threads here it seems it's a common problem with the 23s and is due to it shipping with expired maps.

Seriously Ford...not impressed so far

If we look at the glass half full, maybe if our cars get delayed enough? Ford will maybe release that it'll qualify for new lease incentives (that we can immediately buy out afterwards) and get the $7500 tax credit?

Lol, I guess anything can happen :).

I just hope that by the time I get my car they fix the BlueCruise issues with maps being out of date, and not having OTAs available for the 23s.

So I got my car back today and I am not sure if I should be relief or angry at my dealership for incompetency.

The steering wheel issue is due to the fact that they forgot to remove plastic blocks in the springs during pre-delivery inspection. I am relief that is not a problem of the car but frustrated we had to deal with this for 2 weeks.

They can't fix the Blue Cruise issue and suggest I delete/reinstall the FordPass app. They have no knowledge of the expired maps or any impending updates. Even when I told them about them, they still looked clueless.

They were unable to replicate the liftgate issue - no surprise there.

I get that EV is brand new to Ford and their dealerships but the lack of knowledge and incompetency is downright frustrating for a MME owner.

This reminds me of the early days of Tesla, when you had to reboot the car right after driving it off the lot.... except it's 10 years later, and with a company that's supposed to be experienced in auto manufacturing....

For the maps issue, have you actually confirmed that your has expired? The thread I had linked had some instructions about checking for expiration date.

For the lift issue, does it reproduce all the time, or only sometimes? I wonder if there is some sticker (or sensor) they also forgot to uncover after shipment.

My car is at the dealership, and we aren't taking it home. I know it is the right decision for us, but still such a bummer after waiting so long, and being so close to getting it last August before being rolled over to '23. Oh well.

Same boat as you, should be here any day now. Sucks to see people that ordered in August get it before us converts but oh well.

That's really a bummer about how Ford handled the 22 order scheduling and conversion. I hope you guys find a good deal soon that will reward you for your wait.
