Yes dealer charged me the lower price. I checked my tracking online and my window sticker was showing the lower price yesterday
Awesome! I am really glad to hear that. Doesn’t entirely make up for all the craziness, but at least it’s a nice surprise at the end of the ordeal :)

Yay!... awesome for you.
Spoke to my finance person and they are going to let me know as soon as they have an update. Figured I'd give it a little bit of time as they are undoubtedly swamped with requests.
Fingers crossed still, anyhoo!

Well @Ford Motor Company just cannot get out of their own damn way.

Ordered 8/31
Built 12/1
Shipped 12/3
Arrived in KC on 12/14 and sat...and sat...and sat...and sat...and you get the picture
ETA changed multiple times over the next 1.5 months. Sometimes it moved up and sometimes it moved backwards.

Then, last week, finally I was told it was on a railcar and had left KC.
I tracked the railcar to Louisville (where i am) and then the next day that railcar said it was in Shelbyville (one of the neighboring counties).

I called my salesman and he said it still showed in KC

Frustrated I called Ford and they said it was in Shelbyville. So different than what dealership says but consistent with what Norfolk Southern tracking says.

Several days later I call Ford again just to see if they have any info on when it will hit the dealership. The first thing the rep says is that they have now changed their rules and can no longer giver exact locations of vehicles. She then goes on to tell me that it is still showing in Missouri.

So either what I was told last week about the railcar was wrong and that railcar just happened to go through my city or what i am being told today was wrong or somewhere along the line they just shipped the car back to Missouri. LOL...you simply cannot make this stuff up.

Ford's Logistics is terrible and their inability to provide customers with any reliable data is bad too.

I have been a loyal Ford customer for decades and have outfitted spouse and kid in Ford but those days may soon be coming to an end. If I don't get some reliable good news in the near future Tesla or Kia may be getting my business and that sickens me to say.

It is very well documented on this forum that Ford has many different systems that do not get the same updates and are updated at different frequencies.

The most reliable report is asking your dealer for the "VINView" tracking. This is GPS-based, close to real time, from the cars built in GPS.

It sounds like your dealer is looking at the VVR. Try asking them specifically for the "VINview" tracking. They should be able to send you a map that looks like this.

edit: Ford Chat does not have access to VINview, it has to come from the dealer.

Thanks...one of the reps I spoke to said they had just recently been given access to vinview but that they do not always look at it. Of course that may not be true but is what I was told.

That first "charging in my own garage" moment... love it! Enjoy!
So glad you're enjoying all the features of your Mach-E.

Well amazingly enough whatever I was told yesterday was not correct. My salesperson just sent me a pic of my car on the lot. They are charging it up and I will be picking up tomorrow morning.

Woohoo!

Congrats. Hoping that everything goes well for you!

That car is seriously so fun to drive.

It has its quirks...on SW side, but from performance perspective it's fantastic.

A couple issues I've dealt with:
- The alarm has gone off a few times while I was walking in the garage, next to the car. The setting for disabling motion sensors is not sticking for me.
- Still haven't gotten handsfree blue cruise. Adaptive cruise control works with lane centering and lane changes, just not handsfree.
- My car has kept its outside lights on randomly....and turned them on randomly even after being locked. I think it's due to me using Paak and my garage being too close to my living quarters, but that makes Paak somewhat buggy for me.
-My mirrors were not folding for a while...then started working

The lights on sporadically might be your car welcoming you as you go near it (if you've been out of range).
It's never a fixed distance for me so if something blocks the signal it might trigger it at home?
I just went in and turned off/on a load of the settings to reset them if I wasn't sure if they were working.
Blue cruise showed up for me the other day... but I think it was when I was finally on a highway doing over 65 and does it have to be in a blue-cruise area? It would switch back to plain adaptive from time to time during a longer trip.

It's wash day today. Get some of this shitty winter road residue off!

Thanks for that feedback...I will keep my eyes out and keep you posted what I see. Will only have it for weekend then it goes to shop for a week to have PPF and Ceramic done.

Not so much an issue, but kind of related to the outside lights thing... I wish there was an option to disable the walk away lock when you’re at a known charging location (Or just a known location). My car is garaged so I’m less worried about it being locked when I’m at home, but it locks when I walk inside and then the kids can’t get into it to put their bags in or whatever.

Basically, I want it to lock itself when I walk away and am out and about, but it’d be nice if I had the option of telling it not to lock itself when I’m at home.

100% this.
It's already aware of the location for charging purposes (able to charge to different amounts based on location), it should be possible to set it to not auto lock at specific locations.

Yea, or any other number of things… like the motion sensors or whatever. Would be pretty nifty if in the FordPass app there was a whole list of things you could toggle on or off at any given saved location. Maybe this will come with the pre-condition on demand update ?

Paint Protection Film. Being applied to entire front of vehicle to protect from where most road debris causes problems.
Ceramic on the rest. Front windows tinted to match back. Clear coating on windshield to further limit uv and interior protection on space gray

here she is at the dealer before I pick up tomorrow
