Thinking about trading a 2022 select for a First Edition. Can someone check 3FMTK3SU5MMA20879 ? TIA
Pretty good shape software-wise.

That BCM/GFM will enable the Frunk door keypad and the tech can enable the soft button in Sync with the FDRS 'tool' procedure.

That GWM (gateway) will likely lead to an APIM update showing up afterwards.

Hi.

Could I trouble someone to look up my VIN please? Had my MME in with the dealer for a recall and some updates and it’s come back with the frunk malfunction error. The dealer said they’d done all the updates available and are stumped. Would just like to sanity check that!
VIN WF0TR1RM5MMA29538

Thanks in advance.
Here's the list of available updates for your car:

The problem with your Frunk error is that you have a mismatch between the GFM module and the BCM.

You have a BCM with software revision "-ACR" which is correct for your car. However, you have a GFM (Frunk module) with software revision "-AE" where it should be "-BE".

Here's what they did on the 10th:

You can see they started off with the BCM software update process, which automatically does a "configuration" process at the end of the update.

But strangely they then did a GFM (Frunk module) configuration...not a GFM software update. Why they did this I can only speculate. They may have started receiving the Frunk System Maintenance Required error at that point. You'll see after that they repeatedly tried to re-do the GFM config routine, and I'm assuming from your comments it was without success.

Your BCM software revision is correct but your GFM software revision is not.

I would have them proceed with a GFM module PMI, (and answer "No" when they are asked if the original module is still installed). This will completely reload the GFM module with fresh software and then perform a configuration. That should make the error go away and you should end up with a software revision for the GFM that ends in "-BE".

Here's where that routine is in FDRS:

Taking my First Edition in Wednesday for the roof & windshield recalls, as well as a bunch of updates (22S41, 22B28, 21G01, 22B08). I would like to know where I stand now before I take it in, so if someone has a moment to check 3FMTK3SU5MMA10711, I would appreciate it.

Mike it is very generous of you to look into it in so much depth for me. And super clear instructions. The garage said there was no GFM software update available which is what confused them. Hopefully this info will allow them to reinstall the existing version. Thank you!!

My dealer was supposed to do BlueCruise and Powerups when I was in for the HVAC recall but they said my 2021 wasn't eligible. Can someone please take a peek and see what's up?

Interesting....cause that's not what ETIS says:

What's up is they either don't know what they're talking about, or they need to cut back on the partying, cause it's affecting job performance.

Was this the guy you talked to?

Thanks @Mike G ! Yeah, that dude looks mighty familiar. Every time I've been there, as soon as they realize it's a MME, I get looks like I dragged in a dead dog.

They were complaining when I dropped it off that the blue cruise update can take like 2 days so I rented a car but they called me a few hours later and said the update wasn't available and that all the other work was done. So.. Lazy, Dicks or Stupid?

I just got my car back from the dealer today and this is exactly what they told me. I have a May 2021 build. They said FDRS says that the 21G01 fix is temporarily stopped as of January 4th.

Service dept notes say: "could not be done at this time due to a programming concern with IPC"

does someone mind looking at my VIN and potentially provide some guidance as to how to proceed? I've had no luck with any dealers around here.

I also brought my May 2021 build to the dealer for updates (plus the open recalls) and it’s not clear to me that they actually did anything. Could I get a report for this VIN? Thank you in advance. 3FMTK3RM5MMA28065

I recently bought a used 2021 MME Premium, and when checking for recalls, I see a Customer Satisfaction Program "Reprogram HVAC Control Module" for my car. I'm on software version 4.1.2, and I'm not clear whether the HVAC update needs to be done at the dealership or whether it’s already been done as part of the. OTA update.

Could I possibly get a report for this VIN so that i know how to approach this with the dealer?

Thanks very much!

You don't have an HVAC update, so you probably have the HVAC update already. I got the HVAC update through OTA, but the Ford etis says I still have it pending.

These are your list of available updates.
