Could someone check my VIN 3FMTK3R79MMA05849 to see what updates are still outstanding. The dealer says that they have applied "TSB 22-2265 - Wireless Accessory Charger Inoperative/Poor Performance With Magsafe Charging iPhones." I have my doubts that it was done correctly.

Thank you

Could someone check what updates are available for my car 3FMTK3SU1MMA08471.

It was in storage for 3 months with the auto update disabled. I did get a couple of messages that updates were available, but they disappeared by the timed I returned.

TIA
Hopefully you're back to driving it now.

I'd set the 'check updates' schedule to a time that would check while you're on the road; like 15 or 20 minutes into your daily commute to give your 12V battery time to recharge above 80% SOC. That way the logic will allow updates to download while you're driving (in an area with 3 bars of AT&T). That GWM and APIM in your list should then update automatically and you should get the new Sync UI. Updates don't really happen at home, parked, in the middle of the night, connected to Wi-Fi. That's an urban myth started by Ford. They really happen when the 12V battery is fully charged and the car is out driving around in good cell coverage.

Well they looked up the TSB in PTS.....meaning they read what it said:

But then they decided not to do anything about it, and didn't program any updates at all...including the WACM (still in your list of available updates below).

I guess it's a pretty good gig to get paid to do absolutely nothing.

Does the car give you an update message when one of the control modules have been updated?

Not unless it was an OTA...or you get some error message in FordPass while the tech is doing programming. When programming is going on it interrupts the normal flow of communications between modules in the car and the gateway (which is the networrk controller). This can cause error messages to be sent out like "Stop Safely Now" and other nonsense messages that are the simple result of comms being interrupted.

Thank you! Is there a “magic phrase” I can say to have the dealer update these for free? I know I’m having an issue with the driver memory seat, and I want that Frunk button.
No Magic Phrase, but you can make a generic complaint around what each of the modules you want updated does. Based on your list, I would complain about poor DC fast charging (Who hasn’t had that experience) to get the OBCC updated, I would also complain that your spouse has issues charging their newer model iPhone to get the WACM updated.

Mike, thank you so much for helping me and many others. The dealer looked up the resolution after I picked up my car. Hopefully they can get it right the next time I take it in. This information will let them know to pay more attention to my requests.

Thanks for the additional info. I have a few questions. Any help would be appreciated.

1. Is the Update Schedule for downloads and updates or just the actual update process?
2. Does the car have a power meter for the AT&T cellular connection that I can access? I don't have AT&T phone service.
3. Do you need to have a set update schedule. Isn't the car supposed to notify you that an update is available?
4. If I don't receive the updates that where available when traveling, do I have to bring the car into Ford for service to get the updates?

Thanks Again,
Dennis

Hi guys, I just took my Mach-E in to get the HVBJB recall done and I asked them to install any other pending software updates as well. I haven't received any OTA updates since 3.6.1 in Nov of 2022 and I suspect it is stuck somewhere? If someone could help read out my FDRS pending updates and see if indeed I'm missing some blocking update, I would appreciate it. Thanks!
