Do you really use blue cruise that often?

I use it as “better automatic cruise control” all the time.

I hardly ever use hands free, and if auto cruise control remains, I probably would not pay extra for the hands free bit.

The hands free is sooo limited. You would think all Bay Area highways would be mapped, and the answer to that would be no. I did find a bit of a hack: put your right knee against the steering wheel for unmapped roads that BC can only do lane centering and ACC. Poor man’s BCHF.

Considering that it looks like mapping of highways hasn’t expanded for almost s year, and BCHF 1.0 tends to move the car too close to concrete dividers on the left of the left lane, I don’t see myself paying at the end of the trial period.

I use it daily. Recently drove from DC to San Diego along the 40 and had my hands on the wheel for about 10% of the drive in total. Really made driving 15hrs a day a breeze.
Now I live in CA and drive up and down the 5, 15, 10, etc almost daily and it’s amazing.

when I was in the DC area I worked in Maryland, lived in Virginia and had my HQ in the city. Hands free all day.

I use it every day I commute to work, a 48 mile one-way trip. 35 miles of that is on a mapped highway (I-280). There’s maybe 3 places along that route where it cuts out for 30 seconds, and then resumes. In one section, I just have to lower my speed and it no longer cuts out. When I do have to have my hands on the wheel, I barely have to do anything, the car still does most of the steering.

As do I but I use it as a tool. I'll click it on when I need to clean my glasses or get something in my eye while driving. Afterwards, I usually drop back to ACC with no lane centering.

I also use it if I am out late and still need to drive home. Reaction times are slowed when sleepy or fatigued so I use BC as the driver "assistance" it's meant to be.

No way I'm paying that kind of scratch for BC.....I live 30 min North East of Atlanta. Literally a mile or 2 off of I-85. Once a week I travel to a surgery center that requires me to travel on I-85 for about 10 miles and I will use it, but the # of times it switches from hands free to hands on and sometimes cancels on this major Interstate in this relatively small section is ridiculous. I find the same experience when I travel down to Atlanta.

The system is not refined enough to charge those kind of prices.........Are you guys seeing this? Or is it maybe based on each individual car's performance, as we have seen with many functions of the MME. #Farley I'm in @ $200 for 3 years

The moment I start getting charged for blue cruise is the moment I put my car up for sale. Tesla‘s free auto pilot is far more advanced than fords paid blue cruise, not to mention safer. Ford charging for an inferior product is the wrong approach. As an investor ford should be pouring in billions on their machine learning and auto pilot system until they catch up or or exceed Tesla driving system. As it stands right now, they are nearly 5-10 years behind. And don’t get me wrong, I have owned 4 Ford vehicles in the last 6 years and am very loyal, but it’s easy to see that the entire auto industry was asleep at the wheel (pun intended) whole Tesla was really The only company making serious advancements. This is no different from when apple came along with the iPhone and everyone had to play catch-up for 5 years and no different from amd launching their ryzen platform and Intel taking a kick to the nuts and still trying to catch up.

I like BC and use it every time I can. It is especially nice in stop and go traffic. $800 per year is way too much. $200 per year much more reasonable (and that was the expectation set when I bought my 2021.

The lack of coverage in my area is a joke. And Ford really didn't do themselves any favors calling all of it BlueCruise.

I won't pay for any subscription service for this car.

What is Blue Cruise? Only hands-free mode, or the whole adaptive cruise control system? I use hands-on almost every day, with line centering and speed adjustment to the car in front of me, especially in stop-and-go traffic. I use hands-free when I can, but don't trust it enough in heavy traffic, and with light traffic I'm likely to be above 80, so hands on the wheel again.

I don't know how much I'm willing to pay for hands-free. Probably nothing.

Survey is really flawed.

We use BlueCruise handsfree every time we're on a divided highway. 100% of the time. But we don't go on a divided highway on any scheduled basis, we go when we're going somewhere that takes on a divided highway. Could be to Costco, or to Menard's. Or the local brewery. Or a trip to Florida.
