The temp sensor is on the backside of the pins in the charge port, which get much hotter than the exterior of the plug. You can’t really judge pin temps based on the outside of the plug.Same story with my charging. Two years of charging at 40 amps, then 4.2.6 update in June then bam….will cycle between 40 amps and 32 amps. The charge handle on my JB 40 charge port connecter is and always has been barely above body temp so I do not know where this sensor is that says it's hot as hell and the charge rate has to be slowed down.
