Not taking anything away from @heisnuts because he did help contribute to diagnostics, but this campaign is not because of Ford being kind. This was forced by NHTSA. The people who we should be thanking are those who spent hours sharing their stories and providing evidence to support their claims to the investigators working the case.
I agree. I also believe this is due to the NHTSA investigations into the several reports MME owners took the time report and spent the time responding to follow up questions about their failures.

I do hope Ford was able to use my data to confirm the new parts are up to the task. I do believe they are still working on or verifying testing because a couple days ago I actually saw a Ford F150 Lightning testing vehicle with Ford manufacture plates on it on the same road I use to go out on my back roads loop. I can’t believe that was a coincidence.

Indeed, glad to see enough people have filed with NHTSA to get the ball moving for proactive replacements vs random strandings. The charging landscape is bad enough that we don't need a random HVBJB crapping out complicating things.

So I read the thread and confirmed my 21 Job 1 is in the recall and I'm... still not 100% clear if this is (yet another) software fix, or if this is a hardware replacement. The wording on the recall would imply the latter to me? If so, how long does it take to get it done (not the waiting on parts part)? Couple hours? Day plus?

It does look to be a part replacement. Keep in mind that since the recall is not out yet, dealers cannot perform it yet unless there is an active failure.

Once the recall is officially released there will be a repair procedure documented, including if parts will need to be ordered or can be in stock beforehand.

I have a feeling the big challenge will come at the dealer level. Once the recall is released I think there will be a big influx of people looking for appointments, but with most having only one or two EV techs and a job that takes a tech a good part of the day to complete, there will be a long wait to get this recall completed. I also wonder what will happen to someone who has a failure, doesn’t know the background story, and calls their local dealer only to be told it will be over a month (or longer) before they can get the car in to be looked at.

Interesting observation. Yesterday afternoon I saw a Mach E with Michigan manufacturer plates leaving an EA station in Lovelock, Nevada. The first thing I noticed was a Pitot tube type device attached to the right, rear quarter panel.

I see this for my '21 FE, along with my super outstanding windshield/pano roof recalls.

Guess I've been lucky so far, 35K miles and no HVBJB issues yet, but I'm glad they're going to be a bit more proactive now.

If it were OTA software update, they would have pushed it under 6.3.0 with notes saying: “You’re rolling with the newest ford power-up. Great news! we just updated your HVAC module to …”. You know the story.

Timely. My MME (Premium ER) is at the dealership right now having the HVBJB replaced. It failed on Saturday. I should be picking it back up today.

Funny thing is it's reporting that those who ALREADY had the HVBJB replaced as "Recall Incomplete"
Makes me think I should bring a print out of this notice with me when I get my car today. I wonder if the EV tech doing the replacement on my car is already aware of this.

If it was built BEFORE May 24, 2022, then yes for USA vehicles. The only thing I do not know is if this will also carry over to Canadian vehicles. You would THINK so, but the notice posted here is only for USA vehicles (I see your location is in Canada).
Our 2021 GTPE picked up Oct 2021 and we didnt get any notice.
