After persistent issues such as one-pedal drive turning itself off and windows getting stuck in the down position, Ford replaced a few components including the SYNC module in June. Now that I received 6.2.0 yesterday after 6.1.0 last week (Non-EA) I was interested in what remained on my system. I use BC daily due to traffic so if it is true that 6.2.0 is in the homestretch before that is updated I am looking forward to improvements. I believe I read that 6.1.0 and 6.2.0 each targeted a specific item though I don't remember which.

Is there any way to tell whether the GWM module is for 5.1.1 vs 6.1?
It is the "-PAE" rev. I think that's the 5.1.1 but as I said in an earlier post it might actually be 6.1.0. I'm having a hard time keeping track of the '21/'22 progression for the gateway.

I can tell you that the APIM manifest indicates that this update is the same one that 23.5 MY cars are rolling with right now. If that helps. So if you got that SCCM and APIM done you'd be further along than most.

The indication that the APIM module has an update is not surprising to me as it probably came in the mail to the dealership from something manufactured in May and they simply plugged it in as-is. Other than that, I heard the 6.4.0 update coming out now has that steering column update included.

When you said the APIM manifest indicates a 2023.5 model year is the current version also one from the 2023 model year as well or just that outstanding update?

(Post edited last paragraph as I phrased it oddly)

Well the "-EC" revision you have now was available on '23 models and may still be on some (or a lot) of them if they haven't been updated. The one brand new 23.5 that I checked a few weeks ago has now the same revision that the application manifest for your APIM update in your list says you will (eventually) be getting. Hope that's clear.

Could I get a vin run on a speculation car? 3FMTK4SX6PMA19700 '23 with 900 miles on it. I'm thinking it spent a bunch of time in the shop.

It is, thank you. Though I know since updates have the most amazing documentation available and release notes are written by Ford Engineer William “SYNC” Shakespeare it can be a mystery, is it known what changes the APIM update might contain? Mach-Lee said 6.3.0 was a TCU (SU5T-14H085-GE) and 6.4.0 was the steering column (PZ8T-14C579-BA).

Would someone mind checking
‘22 GT

I’ve been getting semi regular OTA updates, but just realized after receiving my last update (4.2.5), that 6.x.x is most current. If I’m barking up the wrong tree or missed some specific information, my apologies in advance

Thank you

You are waiting on a new gateway to show up. That's the holdup.
I would call or visit your service advisor and ask them to pull up your OTA Dashboard and see if they see anything in progress or if there were any failures in your history. If they don't see anything (in the last 60 day history) and you clearly have updates that should have arrived as OTAs then that should be investigated.

It looks like you haven't gotten OTA 5.1.1 (yet).

No clue yet. My Lightning is downloading the equivalent APIM update now and although I could have done it with FDRS (I have already downloaded all 6GB to a USB drive) I decided to let it process as an OTA just to see what the notes are. I already know that the software rev (F188 DID) will be the same "-EE" as the one I mentioned being on 23.5 MMEs, so I think that's a positive indication that we're getting closer to BC 1.3 with every (hopefully) weekly release.

service advisor tells me there is nothing pending, no failures and the most recent update is the latest...
go figure. Do you think another person might be more helpful? I was told the service tech was standing there showing her the information.
