The recall notice also lists three new part #'s for the HVBJB that are not in the FordParts system yet. I hope the new part #'s are right and the statement about the using the May 25, 2022 part is wrong.
The previous poster's comments about both the dealer and the BEV team telling him he needs to wait for a new part gives me further hope. It makes sense to me that Ford would not proactively replace around 30,000 HVBJBs unless they had a lot of confidence in the robustness of the design. Why would they use a previous design that is known to fail, just at a low enough rate that cars with that part (either from the factory or as a replacement) are not yet subject to the recall?

I wish it was an even better part; however, based on what others have shared Ford has now removed from the recall list the VIN numbers of vehicles that have had their HVBJB’s replaced. That tells me there is no “new new” part and that the part that has been being installed since May 25 2022 is what we will receive. Once again basing this on what others have shared. Ford also stated in their fix statement to the NHTSA that the part that will be used in the recall is the part that began being install May 25.

When it first came out the recall was listed on my account. Since then it has disappeared and no longer is listed. The HVJB was replaced for the second time in September of this year. Appears you are right at least for the revision they put in at that time. The part number was NK4Z-10C666-CRM.

That's the part number on my repair from last month (October). I've initiated several 90+ mph, um, "tests" and so far so good. Of course only time will tell.

Not like we are going to change our driving style for a car that takes off like this one Loving the instant torque of an EV. It can float at 100 mph but it gets to 90 quick. The passing band is the best I've owned and it is dead quiet. Still beta testing here also.

Confirmed my GT no longer has recall and I had HVBJB replaced. I'm still theorizing this means all old HVBJB goes away and software can now be developed to increase the threshold for new HVBJB as the new ones aren't really failing. The threshold is just too low for the new part.

They said they aren’t going to replace it because it is faulty part that is just going to fail again. So, basically until they have a junction box that isnt trash Im screwed.

Based on that you may never get your car back. I don’t think they have a foolproof part yet nor do they know how to make one

There is no point in calling the dealers. If your car is part of it, it shows in FordPass and on the NHTSA website.

I’m still on my original HVBJB. The recall was is FP, but no longer. It still shows up on Ford.com.
