Just got bit with a powertrain malfunction out of the blue.

Car is still operable but is severely limited on power. The dealer can’t look at it until later this week.

Anyone mind checking if there are any DTCs available that might resolve this?

My wife purchased her used Mach-e about three weeks ago, a few days after I got mine. Can anyone help us see what updates are missing. I already saw she has a few recalls, not sure if they were completed prior (suspecting they weren't)...

Thank you!

Don't know if you are aware or not, but the service advisor uses a system called PTS that has a screen for "Connected Vehicle". They pull up your VIN in the Connected Vehicle tab and see a calendar view of every DTC your car has had going back 60 days (I think it's 60) and those DTCs have hyperlinks to the TSBs or SSMs to address those concerns. So from what you've said they don't even want to tell you what the car is telling them on their screen, but they want to wait until the car is there to tell you the same thing they can tell you now, but won't?

LOL the dealer I took mine to wouldn’t use PTS or an OBD-2 reader to get my DTC. They also would not accept the DTC my OBD-2 reader pulled. This was on the Friday that I got the SVS. They eventually pulled the same codes I had after I left the car with them on Monday. Some dealer service departments are just… ?‍♂?

Thanks Mike! Are these done via a dealership visit or will they update OTA, if anyone knows?

Thanks again.
Well everything in that list should eventually come as an OTA.

I'm not confident they knew what to ask me and I wasn't entirely sure what to tell them other than the errors. Maybe they are at the mercy of a traveling tech or something.

Taking my car to the dealer tomorrow for recall 23B50. They are suppose to update BCCM. This file doesn’t show up in FDRS. Can they pull it from somewhere else or am I wasting my time.

I had a chance to update a 2021 Escape with FDRS.

BLUF: the grass over the hill is not as green or lush as the Mach E grass.

Far fewer modules to begin with: 22 vs our 47 or 47 modules (on my Mach E anyway).

What I noticed as different during module updates is that (my suppositions here) on this basic Escape SE, the internal RAM available for memory operations including A - B software uploads appears to be much much smaller than on our Mach Es. The software update for the more intensive modules (APIM and IPMA) went in many little steady but teeny cycle spurts instead of in three or four longish time-intensive "gulps" my (technical term haha) like on the Mach E. Almost like the Escape's module and system brains could only process the updates in small bites.

So now I am glad I got used this year to how FDRS works, for my current Ford and any potential Fords in my future.
