I thought you would probably go to the same dealer as me. They didn’t have the parts for my car. Maybe they already ordered yours.
I will double check the day before I bring it in.

I had to take mine in so they could order the parts. Took about an hour then drove back home. They will call me when they come in and will need the car for 2 days.

Weird, don’t usually need to take it in to order parts for a recall.

Interesting to see what happens with everyone. Two of my neighbors have appointments next week.

Definitely call before they bring the cars in to make sure parts are there

I hope that Ford kept a safety stock of premium HVBJB parts for those experiencing real failures in the field vs those of us who did the recall. I’d feel bad if I took a part away from someone who really needs it. But dealers and customers can’t manage Ford’s inventory.

Just had my 2021 GT’s original HVBJB replaced under recall.

Pierre Ford (Seattle) service valet came and picked up the car in the morning and had it ready to drop off back home the same evening.

Easiest vehicle service experience I’ve ever had.

I had my appointment for today, and they were able to complete all work except for the HVBJB as the part is on backorder until February. They ordered through the appropriate process (allegedly.)

Either they did not order through the right process, or availability might be a challenge. Since it's January 2nd, and letters were not supposed to start being sent until December 29th, it's plausible that we're still on the early ramp of supply chain availability. Or they did not follow the process.

Otherwise, it did take some back and forth for them to get on the same page (parts, EV tech, and the service manager,) so I suspect I was the first one who attempted to go through the process.

They were very friendly and supportive, but I could tell the process was new. They've done replacements before (I've asked them in the past,) so it's not a technical/skill issue - most likely a process one.

The part is allegedly tagged to me, so they'll notify me when it's in and schedule service accordingly.
I was told today the part part is on back order until FEBRUARY, so much for scheduling the appt three weeks ago.

my dealer also said they needed jacks for the work and only received 3 and not 4.

is Ford really a division of Disney and just a Mickey Mouse company?

Have any 4Xs gotten the new -E HVBJB with a scheduled replacement?

I thought that Ford wanted to prioritize GTs before getting to the 4X units, then finally the RWDs. If that’s the case then this staggered rollout with just GTs in Dec/Jan makes sense.

Nothing staggered at my dealership, just no parts available, they only have 1 other car to do.

maybe Parts are being sent to other dealers who have GTs but I don’t think so. I think it’s every person for themselves. First came first serve.

You may be correct but it does seem more like non-GT parts are delayed. So there may have been a focus on the C part. Of course all I know is what is reported here on the forum. I know my GT part came in in about 5 days.

Mine has been at the dealer now for a full week and no progress. “Should get it by the end of the week.” Called in late December ( make sure parts are ordered), called before drop off, rescheduled to next week, called again to make sure parts would be on site, showed up as scheduled, came back next week, called Friday (let me check - I’ll get back to you, or not), called yesterday (let me check again), found out part was not ordered until car was dropped off and hoping it will be here this week. Ugh (again).

Disney is a well-oiled machine, esp at their parks. If Ford ran like that, we'd all be in a much better position.
