Got mine today. Order 151. HD to go out and test. It works great. I want to test it starting at under 10% SOC. But for today tested at 44% no pre-condition and it still reached 120kW:

I haven't seen anyone else with my issue and wasn't sure where to post it, so figured I'd just throw it here.

I bought my Mach-E last week (25MAR) expecting to be able to reserve the NACS adapter as major selling point. There are very limit charging options in my area and along the route I road trip often (through WV), with the exception of a few Tesla chargers.

I have been trying maybe 20-30 per day to reserve the adapter but the pop-up notification on the connected services page never appears. I've reached out to Ford Customer Service about this a couple time and they say it should work.

I understand it may take some time to actually receive the adapter but I haven't even been able to put my name on the list.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and have any sort of solution?

Thanks!
Hello, I too purchased the Mach E but on March 23 and have not been able to reserve the adapter. I have kept trying multiple times but have not been successful so I went ahead and purchased the A2Z adapter. I read that it takes time for Ford to activate all the different accounts but everything in my Ford Pass and Connected Services is working. I called customer service and they said to keep trying, but it shouldn't be this difficult?? Have you heard anything else or were you able to order it yet?

There are really people out there still clicking on random QR codes?!?!? Quick! Get the guys over in the privacy thread on that ASAP. ?
Many of us older folks do not know how to deal with QR scanning. Have to ask staff at Walmart how to get photos from smartphone into the wireless printers.

My early review: The adapter is surprisingly heavy. But it also feels kinda cheaply made. There are a number of small “panel gaps” in the plastic housing, and the plastic can be pushed around a bit. Are others seeing the same? Hope it holds up.

I assume you have set up your Ford account with your VIN? Are you using FordPass and PaaK? Have you tried Plug and Charge?

Not that all those should matter, but if you have everything set up and working, it would seem your Ford account is fully operational.

Is there a link to order the adapter at the top of the web site when you log into your Ford account?

BTW - sometimes Ford has problems with their systems, and you just have to wait and try again later.

I know this is some cold comfort, but you have until June 30 to order a free adapter. After that, it's $230.00.

Hello,

The link finally worked today. I was able to successfully order the adapter. I have a Sept Delivery. Now the wait begins.

Thank you.

Can u send a pic?

Mine arrived today. All the same gift packaging as the influencers from last month. Mine seems sturdy and the plastic body cannot be deformed. There is a seam along the top, but it’s how the shell closes together and doesn’t seem out of the ordinary.
Both latches seem like they will hold up.

Only thing missing is the place to lock the adapter like others have mentioned.

I will test it tomorrow, but this thing is quality. You may break it by dropping on concrete, but otherwise seems like it will hold up until you buy a NACS vehicle.
It’s great that Ford did these before anyone else and it was free!! What’s not to like?

Woo hoo mine arrived the day after I needed it (left for a trip to see the Eclipse on Friday and it showed up on Saturday...could have used it to).

Nevertheless I had to try it once I got home... ;)

I must have stunk up the place with my Ford as most of the Tesla's had left by the time we got back to the car after some shopping.

While I have no plans to use public charging in the near future, this is exciting news for all those who have put their road trips on hold because of their inability to feed Elon’s electrons to their Mach E and lightening ;)
I hear using the Tesla NACS enabled Full Self Charging as well.

Don't get ahead of yourself, they just charge faster and left. No sense in them waiting around to see the person driving the Ford. It's like Zebras. You'd seen one you've seen them all.

Not necessarily: Most of them were already there when we arrived. They could have been charging for 6+ hours...I have no idea. Not really a good assumption they were charging faster...they just finished before us.

Since we were just testing anyway I only put about 30kWh in and was there for, maybe 15 minutes.

Sure they probably were charging faster as we were getting something like 112kW.

In the second pic you can actually see the grey latch button peaking through the gap.
