Since some said they can still charge there with the adapter, I’m betting on some kind of software glitch. If Tesla were to block CCS cars, they’d likely block all of them.

I don't recall the details, but there have been very rare instances of Tesla removing specific sites from non-Tesla use. I seem to remember one of them being at one of their service centers.

I have seen instances where out of a bank of 8 v4 stations, only 5 would release an adapter. If you pick the wrong one, or even the wrong 2, you could make the assumption that Tesla hates CCS. If you have to charge there, you need to play the hold for two seconds game to find a dispenser that will release an adapter.

If you open the Tesla app, and look at that site, it is not listed as a site that allows non Tesla's to charge (w/o adapter), at this time. This gives me the impression that Tesla indeed disabled the Magic Dock portion of the site, likely to increase thruput due to congestion, given the location.

Other Magic Dock sites are listed still around the country, and others have said they still function normally.

My take is disablement due to site traffic/load, since the site is removed via the Tesla app for non Tesla users both with adapter, and without.

So I guess unintentional equipment malfunction isn't possible then? There has never been an equipment failure that caused a magic dock not to deploy?

Tom Moloughney posted a video on this:

Don't bother watching this video though. He doesn't know any more than some people have reported this. He tried the Magic Dock nearest his house on Sunday and it worked fine.

I charged my Mach E at two Magic Dock locations last week (NY Monday, NJ Tuesday) and both worked fine.

This is my concern with the automakers signing deals to use Tesla's network. If I sign a deal with you to use your network, I'm not including a clause that allows you take away access for our users bc Tesla traffic increases at a station. It is assumed that EVs will continue to grow in numbers and that includes Tesla. So why would you allow that clause to be placed into a contract? That would mean that any and all stations where non-Tesla vehicles have access could have their access turned off at any time based on Tesla traffic increases at a particular station. That doesn't seem like a sustainable situation.

We either have access or we don't. Elmo is the type of person that if he's upset he will do something that isn't rational. So if the CEO of one of the automakers that signed a deal with Tesla makes him upset, he's just going to pull that's companies access to the network bc he's mad.

I wonder if there is a hardware issue related to the recall of the adapters many of us received. Could be a hardware issue with the adapaters in the MagicDocks?

I have been thinking the same thing.

The main source video is a guy at site in FL that has never been listed as a magic dock site anyway.

I am not saying they don’t have the capability, but it’s not one Tesla claims it has.
