Picked up our new MME Friday. Struggled a bit to figure out setting the charge schedule but Saturday morning it was ready to go at 90%. This morning no bueno. Still at 47% with message that “Charge station paused” which I suspect is normal outside charge schedule.
The lights on the Autel charger seem to show it available.
So short term, how do I get it to charge now? I tried setting the preferred time to include now, without luck. Is there a hidden “Charge now” button I am not finding? The whole thing isn’t terribly intuitive for this old man.

You can charge anytime by selecting w/in Schedule: 'Anytime' w/in the Home Charge Times in the Preferred Charge Times section. Two considerations: First, anytime charging should be the default, so you should not need to change any settings. Second, is your Autel charger. I do not know if or how this can be programmed, but if it can you should be sure it is set to charge as you desire.

That should be it.

Welcome to the MME community and forum.

Well I partially figured my problem out. I didn’t realize I had to initialize the Autel again to give it permission. So it is currently charging. My question about charging outside of the schedule remains. Is there a way to initiate charging outside of the schedule?

a "charge station paused" usually means a problem with your EVSE (charger)

@4wheeldog, you can't force the vehicle to charge while the EVSE (Autel charge station) is unwilling. See @zvez's response in reply #5.

Charging only occurs when the charge station and the vehicle are both willing.

Don't set a charge schedule in *both* places because this just adds to the confusion... If you set a charge schedule in the vehicle, you can override via FordPass. If you set it on Autel, you must go to Autel to override or change it.

I guess I will have to see what I get when I next plug in and initiate a charge session. Maybe it will give me different options then.

Hmmm … for me, this is exactly as it was set, but the ‘Anytime’ item seems to have gone away or has been moved - both in the FordPass app & in the car. Maybe recent updates?

In any case, where exactly do you suggest making this setting? Thanks.

You have to set it to start and end at 12 midnight.

Yeah you know I fiddled with my juicebox for awhile trying to get the app to work for charging, finally gave up and used the fordpass for all the charge settings, life is much easier with a dumb evse (charger)

The problem was caused by the Autel charger. Make sure the firmware on it is fully updated. There are apparently some firmware bugs that cause it to be non-J1772 compliant, which will cause charge faults in some cases. You may have to unplug and replug the car during charging hours to get it to charge.
