Mark, Not sure how you got the myQ added to home kit. Doesn't look like they support it anymore..

You can add Chamberlain myQ devices to Apple HomeKit using the myQ HomeBridge. However, as of June 15, 2024, Chamberlain no longer supports the myQ Home Bridge

I don't think Apple will ever support that because it's unsafe. There are HDMI workarounds, though. :)
Ford doesn’t do anything. And everything has a reason for them. Safety isn’t a concern, they can simply implement rules where car traveling wont open certain apps. Heck they don’t even have a youtube App its just a webcall without proper implementation on that either. Tried bunch of times to use my xfi pass and connect to xifinty hotspots. Wont pull up the browser

Apple released the first beta of iOS 18.4, which includes a new CarPlay feature for those who own big screens, like the proud owners of a Mach-E.

iOS 18.4 adds a third row of icons. It's a small but nice enhancement if you have a lot of CarPlay-enabled apps.

So as of June 15, 2024 if you purchased a new Chamberlain garage door opener, it no longer supports Home Bridge. Ok, but the openers before that date still do otherwise mine would not be working. I have several friends with Chamberlain openers and their CarPlay works the same as mine.

I've had great listening with CarPlay and the free app for iphone Radio Paradise which features several types of music choices. NO commercials! I send them a donation now and then and appreciate the artist, song and album reveal on the MME screen. Allows me to later add songs I like to playlists. Oh and you can skip tunes on Radio Paradise if you don't like the choice.

Thanks for the tip. I’ll give it a try.

For MY garage door, I use a product called “Remootio”. It’s compatible with a lot of door openers. It didn’t initially work on my “MyQ” opener but their tech support got me a work around. I also added a board for Alexa support, so I can ask her to “close the garage door” when my hands are full. Shows up on CarPlay when I’m about a block away. Pretty cool ?

I’ve had mine for 6 plus years as well. No issues works great.…

Aren't you folks bold, running beta 1 on 'production' devices. :)
Been using Apple's beta software for years and yes while there are little glitches sometimes, I've never had any major issues. I really like being able to view, test and give feedback of new features months before they are released publicly.

Unrelated Carplay comment, but it's not worth creating a new thread or attempting to find where it was mentioned before. For the last few days, in CarPlay, when the suggested route is displayed but not selected, the blue car icon finally does not bounce between the current location and the starting point! I gave up on wireless CarPlay at about the same time, so I am unsure if this related to that or not.
