We can now find the 2025 Mach E's shock absorbers on the Ford Parts website. With the announced suspension retune for 2025, I wonder if the shocks will be any different.

Are the rear shocks and coil springs that were released for the 2025 Mustang Mach-E supposed to also work on previous model years of Mustang Mach-E?

@markboris what do you think?
I won't be testing these out. I am done with suspension testing and tuning on this car.

Ford says they have improved the ride for 2025 so installing these updated springs and shocks should help but if I were you, I would drive a 2025 model car just like yours to see if it is worth it. That is a lot of money to spend on parts and labor just for a minimal improvement in ride if that is all you will get. That is just my opinion.

Now I see you were asking me if I thought the 2025 springs and shocks would work on previous Mach-E's and yes I don't see any reason why they wouldn't. There has been no major suspension changes.

Seems like a lot of automakers are moving to frequency selective dampers to help improve ride quality without going to electronic dampers. I wonder if that’s what Ford did for 2025.

They did change the Premium shocks and springs. For the GT they just went to Magnaride to solve the problem.

I'm not going to test the springs for sure and am a bit on the fence with giving the front struts a go as ideally I'd be using GT struts because I'm currently 7/8ths of an inch lower than a stock premium. Which moves the shocks sweet spot and usually causes a firmer ride. The GT struts for the Eibach GT springs are a match (which I have) so I'm in the air on replacing my 50k mile stock premium job1 struts with just some 23 GT fronts.

I still might get a wild hair to look at the rear shocks but I can tell you if I can get one in my hands locally I'll know with in a few seconds if it's going to be much of a difference. That rear shock 'assembly' (which every time I saw that before included the boot and upper mount) looks like it's almost double the cost, but if it actually has the mount/boot/bumpstop it's just rolling in the additional $60 in parts.

I gotta image these will be able to be found somewhere for much less money than quoted above, but yeah, that's pricey! I'd love to know how they work. I like Mark's idea of testing a 2025 to compare, though obviously it would need to be a Premium which in turn would mean that the ride height would be different. But if I were to do the switch over, that's what my ride height would become, presumably, so that would be what I should test with. Obviously it wouldn't have my Steeda sway bars, but it would give me a good enough approximation, I should think.

Hmmmm ?

I expect them to show up on RockAuto for about $100 give or take $20 and shipping.
