MOVE THAT BUS....I mean railcarStill no movement on my railcar. Ford Chat at least has the railcar information now. NS says no tracing information available. Reckon it is still in KC MO getting ready to head East. ETA is still June 16-22 to the dealer. Weeeeeeeeeee
What a beauty! Definitely worth the wait. Congratulations!!It's coming home! Papers signed and now going through FordPass setup. Hang in there for ya'll still waiting, your turn will come
It's sooooo beautifulI had the exact same thought and Sally is even better when she is clean and shiny!
20 years in time. You so not lying Hopefully it won't take me 20 yrs to learn everything. I learn something new every day.Ok, I was too excited yesterday to reflect on my purchase experience. But for those of you who are still waiting/want more information:
The dealer experience was seamless. It really does depend on the dealer. They honored price protection and the $500 down with no issues. No additional haggling, they said that 95% of the Mach-Es they have been selling have been custom/per-orders. Someone came in as I was buying the car and ASKED to look at it....and I was like....im buying it! Lol. She said she saw the same White one I saw (and posted about earlier this week) and has been considering buying one.
The whole process took a couple of hours. I have to go back there today, they still need to remove some glue from the white stickers they place on the car for paint protection during shipping. Charging last night was pretty seamless as well. There is a "burrrr" noise that occurs as you charge which I am assuming are the fans to cool the battery. My friend's Tesla does the same. Im using the mobile charger until/if I decide to buy a dedicated garage charger (had a Nema outlet installed last December). The mobile charger is a lot SMALLER than I was expecting and the cord is a lot LONGER which are both good things.
I'm still going through all of the options. So many options. I am going to have to get use to Blue cruise, its uncanny how it works.
I've never waited on a car for this long. I really liked my last car, which is why I kept it a decade. Low maintenance, great mileage, handled well for a hybrid. I told the sales person this is like stepping forward in time 20 years!
The car dream of the last year or so is now a reality. It is better in person!
Love Frosty!!!! Perfect nameGlad to hear that more of the cars from our build week are making it home. "Frosty" has been home for 2 weeks now and am still in love. I find that I am making up excuses to go for drives. So far I have only charged twice, and my efficiency is 3.7mi/kw. Last time I charged to 100% and the GOM read 343 miles. I was shocked. Best of luck to those still waiting, it's worth it!
Wow, looks like I'm "winning" latest expected delivery date now by a week! (Not a prize I wanted to win!)Still no movement on my railcar. Ford Chat at least has the railcar information now. Yeah I feel the same way. When I was in the Military, we put trackers on everything when we shipped it over seas, we could track it 24/7. Anything over a certain amount got a tracker on it. This is also my first Ford as well and I am not impressed, by the logistics capability. Hurry up and wait is something we got used to in the Military, but for something I am paying 60k for, is a bit frustrating.Wow, looks like I'm "winning" latest expected delivery date now by a week! Glad you at least have railcar information. I still have nothing from Ford Chat other than the same info from May 5 (good old Ramp 6P, apparently my car's new permanent home).
I'm still so disappointed that near the end of my estimated delivery week, I got an email from Ford saying "it'll be an extra five weeks" with no apology, no explanation of the new timing, and no way anyone within Ford can track my apparently missing car. How can a company make such a great car but be so horrible at logistics and communication?
This is my first Ford ever and I'm not impressed...

It's my first Ford too. A few people in my family have Ford's and they said that our experience is abnormal. It's the supply chain issues - trucker shortages, etc. Ford can learn from this experience and beef up their logistics and tracking. I just think in the past things worked/transported so seemsley they didn't need the every hour tracking details. But the world changed 3 years or so ago and we are all still adjusting.Yeah I feel the same way. Ha, yep, with an $1100 delivery charge you'd think they could afford to stick a $29 AirTag in each car so we can find them!Yeah I feel the same way. Someone was recording me as they passed by on the interstate. This grabber blue turned heads on it's first outing....Anyone catch sight of themselves as they pass a building with reflective glass???? I see myself in action and can't wipe the smile off my face or the awe of it. I'm sooooo in
