I'm working on a hunch about who is getting MMEs ahead of others. That would be Ford is getting MMEs to younger drivers so increase visibility among that age group for two reasons. First, they have a longer life span left so can buy cars over a longer time. Second, sheer numbers, there are more of them wanting to get into the EV market. We ordered in July 2021 and we still haven't gotten our vehicle even though it was finally was built 3/2/22 and was shipped 4/13/22 but our dealer doesn't think we will see it until mid May, if then!We have absolutely been one lucky build group so far. No reason why there should be January and March builds still hanging out in parking lot in Mexico while ours sail through (though it does sound like they are finally making progress on the January folks).
Following with interest as I’m a week behind you guys. Did your group still get the Park Assist? We got the kit.We are an EXTREMELY lucky build week so far. I haven't seen other build weeks move as smoothly. I am keeping my fingers crossed when it comes to delivery and hopefully this doesn't mean we have a lemon batch ?
Most of us if not all I believe still have park assist on their stickers.Following with interest as I’m a week behind you guys. Did your group still get the Park Assist? We got the kit.
Yeah nothing changed at all in the build up to shipment that makes me think park assist won’t be there when it arrives. (Knocks on wood)Following with interest as I’m a week behind you guys. Did your group still get the Park Assist? We got the kit.
And it sounds like from the 4/11 and 4/18 build groups that we may have been the last ones without the kit, even though Ford seemed to indicate the switch wouldn't happen until May 2nd (start of Job 2). There were also some March folks who had the kit swapped in.Most of us if not all I believe still have park assist on their stickers.
I assume since you were all scheduled before the change was announced, the prep kit was swapped in with no action on you or your dealer's part?Following with interest as I’m a week behind you guys. Did your group still get the Park Assist? We got the kit.
@NJ_MachE I think we are indeed very lucky. We got built and shipped in record time, last to get park assist. I say let’s hope for a smooth delivery process. And it sounds like from the 4/11 and 4/18 build groups that we may have been the last ones without the kit, even though Ford seemed to indicate the switch wouldn't happen until May 2nd (start of Job 2). My 4/18 build and windows sticker has park assist kit (with $325 discounted). And it sounds like from the 4/11 and 4/18 build groups that we may have been the last ones without the kit, even though Ford seemed to indicate the switch wouldn't happen until May 2nd (start of Job 2). Correct. No one contacted me it just happened. Not too concerned as I think of that more like a parlor trick—not sure I would use it other than to show someone I can do that. Now I can’t recall if we also lost the ‘kick to open’ hatch feature too. I think I don’t have that one either. What about the whole acoustic glass story? Did we lose that too?I assume since you were all scheduled before the change was announced, the prep kit was swapped in with no action on you or your dealer's part?
Yeah, just to clarify- it sounds like 4/4 build week is the last with full Park Assist (not the prep kit). You should have the opportunity to add it at a later point, but Ford hasn't explained how yet, or whether it will cost anything. My 4/18 build and windows sticker has park assist kit (with $325 discounted).
You're probably right. I feel like the main times I'd really want to use it (like a day trip to Manhattan or Jersey City) I wouldn't have enough faith in it to actually work. We'll see... Kick to open is completely gone in MY22, though I saw in this thread that it may be possible to activate it if you are desperate for it. https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...ands-free-liftgate-back-to-2022-mach-e.16407/Correct. I’m in the 4/11 group. We all got the Kit and price reduction on the window sticker. Ok, so what if ur right. Did I miss something when we ordered online? Don't recall it asking us our age. Took our order and $500 deposit. ?I'm working on a hunch about who is getting MMEs ahead of others.
