We can all agree that the tracking needs a LOT of help, but its better than having nothing at all. When I was sitting in the salesmanship office he got a call on his landland and then on his cell phone (none of which he took) but apologized to us for the interruption. Apparently this guy calls him EVERY DAY to ask where his vehicle is. You don't wanna be THAT person. And yes she will LOVE DarknStormy. Love the name!Me too. My wife is on the fence about the whole thing. She thinks all this tracking and excitement about a new car is a bit much. Am
sure once she drives DarknStormy, she will feel differently.

Ugh, totally get the frustration. FWIW, my car sat on the railcar in Newark, NJ for a week before it got unloaded (I knew this because Norfolk Southern continues to allow you to track the railcar status even after it arrives somewhere-- it isn't actually off the railcar until you get to statuses like "Unloaded" and/or "Released Empty". Within a day of that happening, the VIN showed up as "Pending Pickup" in United Road's system. And then, it only took four days for it to arrive at the dealer. (which included a weekend)Car is still in Petersburg and has NOT been picked up by United Road. I contacted them via an online form to request a status and they not so politely told me to GFYS. The email they sent back was rude beyond belief. They did say that the car had NOT been offloaded/grounded at this time, so it is still sitting on a train car apparently. All I can say is my patience is wearing really thin and would love to put a bug in the ear of someone at Ford who can actually make changes to this process, knowing the dealer and the Ford chat people are not the right audience for my constructive criticism. DarknStormy is not only the name of my car ...but is my mood currently.

I don't see where this response is rude. Keep in mind that typically these systems (railcar/convoy tracking) are in fact not meant to be used by us (the consumer), which is why Palsapp has closed their hole(s). In this case, United Road stated as much but actually gave you some info (unit not available to be shipped since it is not on the ground) despite not needing to. I understand the frustration generally, but in this case I see no problem with the response.Car is still in Petersburg and has NOT been picked up by United Road. In my fog of anger at the time it seemed rude, and Fords general lack of logistics expertise and tracking ability for a multi-billion dollar company is pretty astounding and is something that should be addressed by stakeholders in Ford's LT IMO.I don't see where this response is rude. My charging is set to stop at 90% at home. Once I started a charge this evening, Ford Pass offers a button to charge to 100%. Nice solution, assuming it works. My baby is home! Got a call from the dealer the minute they opened today (he knew I was anxious), and went in and got things done this afternoon. Nice painless process, got the old price with the $750 rebate, didn't even have to ask or fight for it. A little back-and-forth on trade-in value but given I already had offers from Carmax and Carvana it was pretty easy.
@FrostyICE give me that green check mark!
Still fiddling with stuff - I set my home location to charge to a max of 90% - should I make it 80%? And if I do, is it easy enough to flip it to 100% when needed? It didn't seem obvious in the Ford app - I guess I could just go in and change the detailed settings for my charger in my car those rare cases I need 100%.
I discovered the 220V outlet in my garage was installed upside down relative to the portable charger - not end of world but something to get fixed.
I've gotten this to work a few times on my side so far. Nice to not have to go back into the car. The FordPass UI is pretty terrible though. Even if you have it set to 90%, its estimate for completing that charge states that it will charge to 100% , which is definitely wrong! My charging is set to stop at 90% at home. This is interesting and addresses something I was wondering about. At what point does that Norfolk automated tracking line cease to be useful? My car was delivered to the Doremus Ave lot in Newark based on my checking last Sunday but now says “[something garbled] Newark NJ.” Do you recall where in Newark you sat for a while?Ugh, totally get the frustration.
