Are they still using the original filter for those replacements? After reading posts here I bought one of the better filters and replaced it myself. But I thought I read here that Ford now sells a better quality air filter so I was wondering if they use those now.
You would have to ask the Parts department. As to "better", I read those threads, first when there was a carbon filter one, then the new one close to HEPA. I don't live in a place where we have stop and go traffic, so I rarely smell exhaust. I don't live in Nebraska, so I don't always smell manure. At home, I buy those blue fiberglass filters and change them like 3 times a year.

My 2013 F-150 had no air filter, period.

If I can buy a regular air filter for $20, and a fancy one for twice that, I'm buying the $20 one.

I just swapped the tires diagonally even though the front and back ones were very little different on tread depth. Did it myself, just to get a feel of it. Not bad with a 150 ftlb torque stick and impact gun.

I had my "other" ford serviced recently and asked the dealer to replace the cabin filter. A few weeks later I decided to drop the glove box and look for a rattle. While I was in there, I popped the filter out and it was new all right but it was not a OEM Ford filter. The dealer puts in the cheapest thing they can get (read stamped made in china) and hopes you will never notice. I will do my own from now on.

Is there a standard or typical fee for the 10K inspection including tire rotation? I assume you can pay via FordPass points, correct?
Same guy that Owns Ford owns the Toyota and Mazda and they have a mobile service too, even come out to your house and do it for free.

There is no such thing as "signing away the points" that I have ever heard of.

They should have done the air filter at 20,000.
"signing away the points" actually refers to an option available only at time of purchase where a new Ford or Lincoln vehicle purchaser can choose to take a basic maintenance plan in lieu of the FP rewards points. Most dealers don't mention it becuase it actually costs the dealer 50ish bucks that giving the client the points doesn't.
