I agree, Ford really needs to provide better real-time tracking to consumers. It's a pain bothering Ford chat or the dealer for constant updates.

Howdy neighbor! I was reaching out to Ford chat daily and my timeline is below.

Oct 8th - modules
Oct 10th - built
Oct 11th - shipped with a delivery estimate of 10/25-10/31
Oct 18th - reached Laredo, TX
Oct 23rd - reached International Freight Gateway aka Richards Gebaur AFB
Oct 24th - moved to ramp 6R
Checked with Ford chat 2x a day between 10/23-10/26 and they had no updates. Just the dreaded "Ramp 6R in Richards Gebaur" since 10/24.
Oct 27th - delivered to dealer.

Today was the first day chat reported that my car was at 6R. Seems like it is +3 days in transit to Chicago area once it gets going. So maybe Tuesday for me if they get it moving fast. ?

I had a similar experience with FC.. They don’t seem to have the latest location info. On 10/25 the latest info they had was that it was in KC on 10/21. Then I checked the info line for Norfolk Southern and the rail car was scanned in TN. It arrived in Jacksonville this morning which is where it’s supposed to switch to truck transport. It’s getting very close!

Ok, I might have been too optimistic. I called my dealer this afternoon to see when they thought it would arrive and they told me its in Michigan! This is while Ford Chat said it was in KC and the rail line (NS) said the rail car (which the dealer gave me) arrived in JAX.

As others have said - Ford really needs to modernize their vehicle tracking for car order shipments! Maybe they could buy some UPS or FedEx software.

Any recommendations on using the FordPass app to Activate Vehicle?

Mine also got bumped to 11/10, which is two weeks later than it was. This was after actually seeing some progress today. I figure at this point it will show up without warning.

Keep in mind that mine was scheduled for this week. Wednesday, it got bumped to week of Nov. 13 -19th. It arrived today at my dealer in Naperville, IL. Go figure. Some communication from Ford.

After 8.5 months my Mach E (aka Knight Rider) is finally home. Dealer process was relatively smooth and traded my 2014 Mazda 3 hatchback as they offered $200 more than my highest offer. Finance guy did not try to sell me on any additional warranties or anything. That was the complete opposite experience we had last month when buying our Jeep.

As mentioned previously I asked the dealer to not wash or detail the car. Every single sticker and protective cover was still on the car when I got there. Felt like Christmas morning when I got home and removed everything ?. Gave the car a quick wash but did not have time to use Adam's Iron Remover. Honestly, not sure if I even need to as the paint looked pretty darn good to my amateur eyes. I did unfortunately notice a scratch right under my driver's side headlight. Going to see if I can polish it out myself or just live with it.

Wife drove the car and surprised how different it is from her ICE Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. Well duh ?. Our 2 girls (4 and 7) had an absolute blast playing with the doors, both from inside and out. Only 2 complaints from them (so far). 1) they wished the "cool" (ambient) lighting extended to the backseat and 2) wished the headliner was black . Definitely my kids ?. First family trip was to Culver's for ice cream.

Yeah, I'm in the same general area as you. A little farther out, but not enough to change logistics. So hopefully that happens here. ?‍

I don't really think Ford has any way of actually knowing for certain when somebody will actually move the cars, so periodically they just bump things since obviously my car wasn't delivered yesterday and will only possibly arrive by the original end of ETA.
