All good points. Maybe the short term fix is to just have FDRS put back the last working version as an update (if that is possible). IMHO, there should be a FDRS way to go back, without needing 3rd party Apps.
Yep, I'd love for a way to put it all back from when the car was built. Of course, the techs will wonder what the hell is going on when they look at my Vehicle History tab! ?

Yep, no way to go backwards with FDRS unless ford releases software that goes backwards as the update.... UCDS software updater will actually let you pick the last several versions available to update/downgrade to.

yes, my point was for vetted updates only.
Gotcha. Even so, some of the vetted updates fail in some real-world implementations. That is part of what has slowed down some PowerUps.

FYI noticed this today on the 21P22 info. Unrelated but related:

We noted this problem, ABS not dropping off the update list after a successful update, on Dec. 8, so it took 12 days, and probably tens or hundreds of dealer service calls.

To be fair I haven't been looking at this daily so it may have been up there for a bit. At least they have acknowledged it.

I just checked my May built car, still at the dealer. They have not touched my car since 12/15 and are awaiting guidance from engineering how to get traction control and evasive steering assist working (they're both greyed out in settings and cannot be toggled on).

The ABS update FINALLY cleared on its own today and is no longer showing "available" as a software update in FDRS. I did get all 3 of these updates and am trying to get my dealer to perform them, but doubt it will fix my IPC issues nor traction control/evasive steering assist.

I don't see how I ever get my IPC fixed - the graphics are wrong, seat belt indicator thing (where it shows all 5 "seats" in the car and who's buckled, etc.) isn't working at all, headlights on/door open chime when I reverse, etc. My IPC isn't communicating with the ECM or restraint module, according to the self-test they kept running. I'm wondering if I get lucky and this fixes it?

This!!!

You guys must remember that if you take your car in for the customer satisfaction today they will attempt to flash the exact same that we did over the weekend and the technicians will experience the same issues and the same things will break.
And then people will jump on here complaining about how these untrained techs don't know how to work on the MME. LOL.

Did you get a replacement IPC? If yes it just has the wrong software. Of course Ford has no idea how to fix it or what software it should have it seems.

Yes, I did. And, when they did it, they said all production IPCs were fixed from the buzzing, which is obviously wrong. I'm thinking I may have got an IPC that has the BlueCruise software or something on it, since they were building those vehicles when they replaced my IPC. I'm hoping since this is an IPC update, maybe that would get it to the correct level? Should I ask my dealer to reinstall the modules for the ECM and restraints (RCM)?

Note: This breaks lane centering and blue cruise as of now for later build cars if you run the ABS update. No one has been able to run the IPC update yet due to scan tool limitations to see if that will fix it.

Looks like some new updates were released for various vehicles today. Note not sure exactly what vehicles these were released for. Peoples results are all over the place.

3 updates for newer build cars (Late June +)
2 updates were also released for older build cars

Pre June updates:
APIM - USB required update
IPC

Post June updates:
GWM - USB required update
TCU
IPC
ABS

Note. Only the GWM and ABS update worked for me. TCU/IPC downloaded the software, then checked and did not update. The TCU/IPC stay in the list of requiring an update like the PCM but no update is installed when it is run.

Important: The APIM update likely brings the newer vehicles up to the same status as the later builds along with the IPC which makes both of those compatible together. I would not recommend updating one without updating the other!!

Also I recommend always doing a GWM update FIRST when available.

Possible PCM but that's been bugged so I doubt it. I will update shortly and report back. It appears they are getting these ready for OTA updates with the GWM and TCU updates. Not sure what the IPC update is about. No new TSBs/SSMs today.

The GWM update is likely the 2.1.0 OTA that hasn't been pushed yet. Unconfirmed though. TCU OTA update we are likely too see soon too. Also my guessing, this is all unconfirmed.
I have the GT PE with a build date on the label in the door of Aug/2021. I have not received any over the air updates that I know of so far. Can you tell me how I can tell if I've received any updates?
