Maybe I should not even suggest it, but I wonder if Ford is now planning on replacing parts as well as a software update and that it why they pulled the current version of the recall???

I noticed in the VIN check thread that @Illinibird ’s VIN isn’t showing the recall updates available either, and his is a Premium AWD SR. Not sure what that means.
Did Premium AWD SR’s for sure have it available in FDRS at some point, I know all Mach-Es were included in the recall?

I think anything like that would just be speculation at this point. I will say that's wishful thinking, but if I had my guess I would say this week they got bombarded with the new DTC and dealers that have no clue what to do. Recalling the recall would be a way for them to put the brakes on things until they can get a better strategy.

Again, it's all speculative and I'm sure by tomorrow afternoon this thread will have everything from a part replacement to aliens abducting Mr.Farley as the reason. And trust me I would love nothing more than to say "I told you so" to everyone :)

We might know very soon because, in part, I'm sure they will need to notify dealers and NHTSA about any change in plans.

I love that I can watch all this progress on this forum from scoops failure all the way up the chain to eventually getting recalled
Seriously. I feel like this every time I come check the forum:

Ford Mustang Mach-E 22S41 Recall Software - Server Deployment Issue %ED%98%BC%ED%8C%8C%EB%A7%9D-%ED%94%BC%EC%9E%90

In all seriousness though, very grateful to have a bunch of people on here willing to put in work with all this.

At this point, this is an investigative thread being used to document changes we see to the available software that was previously available for 22S41. No one really "knows" why this happened, yet...

Preface:

Today, I decided to see if I had any other updates available - other than the 22S41 Recall, which I don't want anyway. I have OTAs turned off and I haven't received any. The last update I performed to the car for the BECM and associated "recall modules" was in May with the software released before the recall. To my surprise I had no updates available, zero, zilch. I would have assumed that I had the recall at minimum, but nope. I confirmed this by checking my software versions against other GT/GTPE's that I know have the 22S41 recall applied. Confirmed that my version is 1 prior to the recall.

So, I took to the forums (here) and got a couple members to give me their VINs and with the help of VINs that @WyldStallyn had confirmed that 5 vehicles, all GTs and all from July of 2021 show the same old versions either installed or available with no recall versions available.

Could the recall have been pulled for everyone?

Through further investigation with multiple members running VINs, we think that might be the case (read down a few posts on the main page). We can no longer find the recall versions of the software for ANY trims with ANY build dates. The only place we can find the recall software is on vehicles which previously had it applied before it was pulled.

Warning for all those who scheduled service calls the week of 07/10/22:

Those who are going to get the recall performed this week might be getting a placebo (the May version) and wasting their time. If the updates aren't available in FDRS dealers cannot perform them.

Recall Cleared??

One of the VINs I ran had the 22S41 recall pulled by the dealer and they updated the modules to pre-recall versions. I assume that VIN has been cleared from the recall system even though he doesn't have the correct versions. That could be messy ...

NHTSA VIN Check:

In the NHTSA VIN check my vehicle and others show the 22S41 recall active.

I turned off my OTA after getting the csp21p22. I do not want or need any other OTA that I've read about since then. I have zero interest in BlueCruise, Frunk Button, or anything else not performance related with the possible exception of actual power kW output/regen displayed on instrument panel.

I will verify that my local dealership is trained and prepared to do a HVBJB swap, try to get them to order one, and THEN do the OTA which should trigger the flags for the physical fix.

this is the likely reason. And I think dealers are getting quite pissed at ford rn.

or perhaps they got scoopmans contactor back and it was fine, replaced for no reason.

or better they read this forum and we won. Replaced c parts for everyone. You get a part c, everyone gets a part c :)

@DevSecOps I guess this modules on my vin are the may version and not the recall version?

Yes, sorry when I provided your data I was in the middle of trying to figure this out. I wasn't ready to confirm anything yet. The updates available for your vehicle are the May updates and not the recall updates.

Is a data point of a car that already had the recall software installed via FDRS helpful? Is there a chance that my car could show “updates” to roll me back?

Sorry no take backs ...

And yes, I ran a couple cars that already had it performed. They show the recall software applied and nothing available. I've been looking over this data since 1pm today. I didn't want to say anything unless I was sure of what was going on. I appreciate the offer however.
