None of this would have been necessary if:
1. Ford got it's shit together and pushed timely updates OTA
2. If Ford actually communicated with customers from people in the know on exactly wtf is going on, rather than having to hear second hand through a game of telephone. Someone said this to someone else, who said this to someone else, and some post on here from an anonymous engineer who can't be verified and won't say anything officially on record.
3. Add a hardware issue that Ford should have caught before the car ever shipped, and should be doing a hardware recall for, and you have a powder keg of anger, frustration, speculation, and bullsh*t.

Had a washer fluid sensor changed today. They applied the 22S41 update. There was a list of modules that were updated on the work order. All seemed to go well.

So...I bought my car Jun 30th (after the dealer did the original recall update). Admittedly I am relatively new to the forum & I dont yet understand a lot of the jargon. (& probably a lot of it would go over my head anyways! lol) So pls forgive me if my question has already been asked/answered:

Is the recall update (2.0 or whatever the new one it is called) the same as the original recall update (1.0) that my dealer did 30 June?
Or is that part of what is trying to be determined?
It is not yet known whether the software that disappeared over the weekend is going to be the same as whatever is coming back out. The speculation is that it will be. Stay tuned. ??
The June recall updates included PCM, BECM, SOBDMB, and SOBDMC. The updates were missing from FDRS for a couple of days but were available again this morning.

BECM and SOBDMC, which are the modules referenced in the recall, are still the exact same version as were released in June.

PCM and SOBDMB have a newer version as of today which are confirmed to be available for 2021 GT's. I haven't had a chance to dig into other models but it seems to be only GT's.

Interesting because I got different versions. Maybe the difference between the MY21 and MY22?

I had a successful OTA update last night and would appreciate you running my VIN again to see what modules were actually updated and to what versions. VIN: 3FMTK3SS6MMA09369 Thanks

It's possible a subset of hardware is not up to the task.
Are we speculating again Ron? It is possible. What makes you think this is the case?

Just require my machines to carry out the duty they were purchased for. I am thinking if your speculation is the case the second one will have the same fate. Pretty good/rough at beta testing here and hoping to eventually slap a no fear sticker of this vehicle.

Brought my car in today for software recall and multitude of software still open on my car as I have never received any OTA’s

service advisor said, well, with all this you may not get your car back today. My response was, I don’t care, I want everything updated. They Kind of didn’t want to do it but I explained these software patches will fix some of the issues I have, such as phone over heating when wireless charging etc. basically they only wanted to fix if I said I was having a problem with something. I got the impression they didn’t consider software not downloading a problem.

I gave her the list of open software that needed to be uldated as kindly provided to me by @Mike G . Will see what happens.

I see you haven't gotten a response yet so I ran your VIN again. You are currently showing the exact same updates available as when I ran your VIN on the 9th.

Assuming the OTA update fairy ?‍♀ delivered...these are the module updates that should have been done and the versions as they now are shown in FDRS:

PCM MJ98-14C204-AXK
BECM NJ98-14C197-AE
SOBDM LJ98-14F476-AU
SOBDMB LJ98-14H297-DE
SOBDMC LJ98-14G069-AXH

I ran another VIN this morning for a member who also had the OTA ?‍♀visit and from that I was able to compare the module list from a previous VIN check to determine what modules got updated.

In a nutshell my biggest problem with the ME experience. A lot of bla bla bla, but when it comes down to it "No Updates For You!".

So an OTA doesn't update/change what FDRS servers think the car needs in terms of versions?

You may need to clear your cache, especially since you are manually entering VINs
