WTF is "X" supposed to represent? Delete your car? If that is general settings WTF is it not a cog icon like on just about every other UI known to man?

X means cancel out of the screen you are on. So we dont know what that Menu icon is.

X is how you shut down Twitter.

It would be better to show those options graphically pressed with an opposite color scheme than that X button appearing next to it.

Alternatively, the X button should be on the top right corner of the page that each of those three buttons calls. Meaning, if it is the settings, the page itself should cross out and that takes us back to the previous page. The home page should be default maps if not user assignable.

Also, not sure what the first icon is. If settings then it should be a cog wheel or the toggle button icon they have today. The little squares icon should be reserved to open app drawer.

Sorry, but we are getting nit-picky if we do not like the X, the first icon is not clear that it is for Apps, the car should be a cog for car settings, etc....

Not to mention that it does exactly the same thing in the current software version (at least on my 2023). If you open one of the 3 main screens, its icon turns to an X. It just looks like a different X now. Not sure why the freak out about an X icon.

The app drawer icon is for the app drawer. The car icon is for settings. The X is over the car icon because it's currently in the settings menu. That's the same way the old icons function.....only uglier.

Be nice if they restored some of the lost data to the tiles with this update, like Artist Name on the radio/SXM tile (2nd line under Song Title), Distance on the Trip tile, etc.

Not holding my breath though.

So help me God, @Ford Motor Company - if you “Moved the Sketch app into the "Entertainment" page so it's easier to find” but didn’t put a trunk button on the top of the Home Screen, I’m going to lose my sh*t.

I hear airtags are great for finding your shit again after losing it.
BTW CCTV icon for the 360 camera, ehhh.

I forgot to look, but I wonder if the speedo is back in the middle...funny thing is neither the speedo nor the icons bothered me much, though I do think this is better.

this update is rearranging the furniture and painting the trim; just sprucing up the place so you don't notice BC1.4 hasn't arrived yet.
