Dang, I could have had an opportunity to test the 5G hotspot.
My neighborhood had a blackout, probably due to an issue with the Dogwood Festival power connections nearby.
I did walk out with my Thinkpad, but just used its LTE 4G connection to view the photo when I went to tap the brown wire at the BCM. That wire on mine appeared more of a Mauve color to me...

Agree. On some cars the color does look more mauve/tan than brown.

The post delivered my Expo switch today, it came with the pigtail, so I was able to use one of the connectos from that to wire in the pin 12 lead, liftgate works great from the dash!!!

A few notes, looks like the default on the headlamp switch is headlights on, when I unplugged the switch, I got the "on" warning dings, these did go away when I locked the MME, was still a surprize...

I’ve mentioned in other posts that I repurposed the “Park Assist” switch to open the liftgate by running a wire from the BCM as @markboris had suggested in earlier posts.

I found a sticker on Amazon to show the new function of the switch. Doesn’t match the style of the other icons and it seems to show more of a trunk opening then a liftgate but I think anyone who uses it would get the idea.

One thing that Mark mentioned and is true of this sticker is that it blocks the button from being lit up by the buttons LED.

You guys make this sound so easy. :crying:

I found what I thought was the correct wire. I checked all the brownish wires and they were all striped. The purplish, tannish, unstriped wire matched what some others have shown, so I tapped it.

To test it, I need to ground the wire, which I think can be accomplished by touching the wire to any exposed metal. I chose the passenger door hinge. The wire sparked, which I did not expect. I touched it again, and it did not spark, so I probably tapped the wrong wire and blew a fuse.

When I turn on the car, it says the passenger door is ajar, even when the door is closed. I checked CarScanner, and the car is now throwing B1142(62) and B13BF(14).

I think this confirms that I blew a fuse, but I don't know which fuse. Help, please!

Were you in the correct wire harness? I cannot tell from the photo but that obviously is not the wire.

Here are your code explanations. I will look up the fuses. What year is your car?

It is the top-most harness in the passenger footwell.

2023.
That is the correct harness. I also remove the little connector to the right of it so it gives more room to pull the entire harness down.

Someone on this forum was asking for a way to block the button from accidental pressing. I am selling a cover for the hazard triangle but that can easily be modified for the park button. I need feedback. What should I do about the wheels and tires when the base color is already black? I raised them a bit, but it still does not seem perfect. Any thoughts?

A huge THANK YOU to @markboris! We met earlier this week and he installed an interior lift gate power switch on my 2025 Premium MME. I am so happy to have this switch, it’s a game changer. My previous car had one and I used it all the time.
Mark has a vast wealth of knowledge about all things Mustang Mach E. I asked a lot of questions and he had the answers and then some. We had the opportunity to check out his beautiful GT and all the improvements and modifications he has done. He had some very unique ideas and everything he has done is of excellent quality and beautiful.
Next up for me is 3D Grille and light up ponies.
Thanks Mark!

Add another to the list of people who made this mod. This was my biggest complaint about the car.

I replaced the max defrost button with the button from a 2021-23 Ford Escape (part LJ6T-13D061-CGW). Made all the usual mistakes, and had a really hard time finding the wire, but the prior 445 messages had me ready for everything. Thank you to all who contributed!

Thank you Kathy for the kind words and it was also great meeting you and your husband Monday. Looking forward meeting up again for the grille and lighted ponies install! 😊
