Maybe a stupid question but is the B&O equalizer located in the Sync4 unit or in the B&O amplifier?

This entire thread has been a great read! I bought the 12" JL sub but don't have any car skills.

Can anyone recommend an installer in the Bay Area that can install it for me?

Thanks!

Next time I'm down visiting my parents (maybe next week) can help you with the install.

Followed Mark's steps with his help. Hooked to the 12v in the back. No issues so far and it sounds amazing! What a massive upgrade. Added dynamat while the back rug/padding was pulled up.

Thank you again for your help and guidance Mark!

It was great to meet up with you again Jason!

Installing that 12" JL powered sub, dynamat and remote volume control in the center console in just two hours was one of the faster installs I've been a part of. Adding deep bass that the B&O system in this car is lacking is a game changer for sure. 👍

I was thinking the Kicker HS10 sub could be powered from the rear 12v, but didn’t know the JL could as well. I thought the JL had to be run directly from the Lvb.

As long as you don’t crank it up to extreme loud levels the JL will play fine getting its power from the 12V power outlet in the cargo area. If you don’t want to deal with changing out the 20A fuse for the power outlet if it blows, you can change the 30A fuse on the JL to a 15A or 20A one.
