I expected it in the T, but after one week of ownership I received my first single finger salute from a passenger in a chevy suv.

I didn't do nuthin, wasn't following close, wasn't agressive in any way. just putting along a 30mph street at 35 listening to a podcast.

as the chevy in front of me pulls away at the light, the passenger gives me the single finger salute.

at that point, i knew, i need to keep a bigger distance from buford. not sure why, maybe it was the "that's not a mustang" thing, dunno. maybe just EV hate i guess.

anyone else experience the love as such?
Not in our very small community of Valencia Pa. A lot of questions at car cruises since few mme are in our area. The best questions are hilarious. We opened the frunk and were asked if this was a rear engine car. Another was where is the engine? Alot asked who made this car and didnt know Ford made a EV mustang. Most were very positive others just uhged when passing. Kids loved it and couldnt believe the inside which we gave them a up front tour. We were very busy with the future Ev muscle heads. Our grandkids are hooked and love it. Our daughter has a 2012 challenger 392 srt8 and son in law a 2017 2500 custom ram and rare 1 of 59 mustang Shelby conv. Rest mod bell super charged plus nitrous. Car cruise family. 6 yr old already claimed the GTPE for her 16th birthday. 4 yr old grandson wants dads monster truck. And me, I want to live 6 more years to turn 80.

I have a bottle of V-8 juice that I put in the frunk at car shows. I stole the idea from another member. Boy, does that get comments! What I really need is to put a 5-gallon bucket in there with a V-8 juice label on it. Then I can have a monster V-8 in there. 🤪🐩

What you really need is 5 1-liter bottles.

They don't call them Massholes for nothing... Two ice cars parked at a convenience store charging location with plenty of other (and closer) parking. They left then this guy pulled in making sure he filled up two of the four charging spots.

I just got back from a 4k mile trip and was asked by host in NH not to talk about my car at her gathering as it would not be received well. 🙄

I'm not about vandalizing someone's vehicle, but man that feels like a slashed tire offense. Kinda like talk shit get hit....

Living in SoCal where there are a lot of exotic cars and EVs I get almost no notice one way or another. After 18 months nobody has said anything negative about the Mustang. And very few have even shown any interest in it at all in the 18 months I've had the car.

EVs are so common here (7 on my street of 10 homes) that it's no longer a novelty and considered a part of the mainstream.

I have gotten a little hate. You haven't really experienced hate until you spend time in a Prius. People try and run us off the road.
Well, yeah.

I live in a coal loving state. They love their diesel trucks and "real" mustangs. I get yelled at, flipped off, cut off, coal rolled, you name it... pretty regularly. I've had people come up to me while I'm just trying to go into a store and start up a conversation that sounds like it's curiosity, only to have it devolve into them trying to tell me how EVs are worse for the environment than gas and all the usual regurgitated stuff they hear from their fear mongering news sources.

I have found that one reply always shuts them up though. I ask them where their fuel comes from to power their cars. When they look at me confused, I say "Saudi Arabia. Sure, mine comes from coal but its good old fashioned American power made right here in the US of A". They usually walk away after that.

I always feel sympathy for someone driving a Prius, "Man, they must have a shitty long commute if they have to resort to a Prius.."

Ironically the only real negative feedback I have got about our MachE was at the Union hall..
It is so painfully obvious that you are not getting the "spirit" of this thread.

I have owned Chargers, Impalas, cool old trucks, Lexus, Corvettes and many more. I hate to say it but the Prius that I own now is hands down the best one of them all. It is a Limited with all of the bells and whistles along with heads up display which amazes me that my Premium MME does not have. I do a Drivers Ed. business and it couldn't make for a better vehicle. Amazingly, this 2022 Prius in particular has attained 70 MPG with 3 different tanks. It averages around 60 on most tanks. I also drive it outside of the work time so to speak because it is easy to drive and park. I love it and at my age I really don't care who "hates" it. Diesel trucks usually blow smoke going around me but they are idiots I am sure.

If you feel sympathy for someone driving a car that is most likely made (quality wise) better than any car you most likely have ever owned, I actually feel sorry for you dude. Just look at consumer reports and this information will be backed up. 👍

If you don't like the looks of it, I get it but once again the "reading of this room" via the thread only perpetuates more "hate" towards those that don't like the MME.

In any case, I have only owned my MME for less than a month and have had no issues with people "hating" on me on any vehicle that I own within the last month other than the poster that I am replying to today.👍

I'm not sure... But I was on Blue Cruise, so either way I wasn't using the pedal.
I was wondering since 1 pedal brake lights might not come on as often. Does anyone know?

The top 5 crude oil exporters to the USA in 2021 were (in order, highest to lowest): Canada, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Columbia.

2022 will look quite different. In the meantime though, you need to blame those pesky Canadians. Or something. ;)

Get a monster energy drink sticker, slap it on your v8 bottle, problem solved!

Well I'm sure those same types would be just as upset about Canada and all their pesky socialism lol

My wife loves her Prius. It's not my favorite but it does what it's designed for very well. She drives a lot around town for work, pretty much a social worker and gets a mileage check. The benefit is it's not flashy and she goes to some crappy places.
