I've been trying to chew up some of this. Today I went from 22%SOC to 86% 100kw from 22 to 80, 40 from 80 up. 'Preconditioned' On the way to the charger 18 miles away. Seemed to have worked I'll take 100kw from 20->80 any day.

I would probably subscribe as all my road trips thus far have had the majority of stops at EA. I would be willing to pay the slight premium over the EA plan for plug and charge, It has always worked great.

In case Ford is listening, I'll offer my idea again. Instead of making it an EA discount, and going through all the extra technical issues of interfacing with EA to show the dynamic discount on the charger screen (which has to be far more tricky to work out), just make it a monthly REBATE instead. Process the charge at the normal rates. Then at the end of each month, just apply a 25% rebate (account credit) to all activity paid through the Ford Wallet (for those subscribed to the discount). Easy peasy.

That should make it a lot easier to add more networks to BOCN payment (Plug & Charge) too.

RegistrationIn order to use the Services, you must register for and maintain an active FordPass account (“Account”). You agree that you are responsible for all charges, taxes and fees incurred through use of your Account. B. Access to the BlueOval Charge NetworkYou will be permitted access to the Charge Network by using your Account which will enable you to utilize the Services at a Charge Network Station (“Charge Network Station”) within the Charge Network.C. Purchase of FordPass Charging PlansYou will have the ability to purchase FordPass Charging Plans by using your Account. <s> </s>3. Access to Charge NetworkAccess to the Charge Network is required before you can utilize the Services at a Charge Network Station.A. Access to Charge Network Service Plans i. Complimentary Network Access. Access to the Charge Network for 2021 and later model year EVs includes a complimentary 2-year trial, and begins with the EV New Vehicle Limited Warranty start date. During the trial period, you will have access to any Charge Network Station within the Charge Network. You will be billed for all fees including but not limited to fees for the Services initiated by you in any manner, including, without limitation, with your FordPass app or remotely by a customer relations agent. ii. Charge Network Access Plan. Upon expiration of the complimentary 2-year trial, for network access, you may purchase from Ford Motor Company (“Ford”) a one (1) year term of Charge Network access for an annual fee plus taxes and fees if applicable. This one-year term may be purchased annually without limitation. iii. Refunds. Full refund of a single Charge Network Access purchase may be issued by Ford to you for one of the following reasons:a. EV owned by original owner qualifies under the “Lemon-Law” of the state in which you reside.b. Special circumstances including total loss, original vehicle owner’s death or force majeure as defined in Section 14 below. Ford, in its sole discretion, will determine what events qualify as special circumstances.c. A transaction is attributable to fraud or a technical issue of a Ford-owned or operated system that resulted in over-payment. iv. Session Fees. Certain Charge Network Stations on the Charge Network may charge Session Fees (“Session Fees”) during or after a charging event (hereinafter, “Public Charging Event” or “Public Charging”). These fees, if applicable will be posted at the Charge Network Station for your review prior to instituting charging. For purposes of these Terms, Session Fees shall be defined as all costs a customer may incur during or after Public Charging Event including but not limited to fees charged as a result of: (a) type of charging service provided by Charge Network Station operator; (b) occupancy of a Charge Network Station beyond Public Charging Event completion (“Idle Fees”); and/or (c) continuation of a Public Charge Event beyond kWh balance depletion. Charge Network Stations may set a period of time (“Grace Period”) in which you may move your vehicle without penalty. After a set Grace Period has elapsed you may be charged Session Fees.Access to the Charge Network will expire or terminate for the following reasons: (i) failure to purchase Charge Network access prior to the complimentary trial expiration date; (ii) failure to purchase additional Charge Network Access plan(s) after the term of paid Charge Network Access has expired; or (iii) change in EV ownership leading to removal of the EV VIN from your FordPass Account - My Garage or deactivation of the connection between your Account and the vehicle’s FordPass Connect modem.4. Charging PlansA. Complimentary 250kWh of EA Fast Charging (“Charging Bundle”) i. 2021 and later model year EVs, will have access to a complimentary Charging Bundle of 250 kWh which can be used at select Charge Network Stations within the Charge Network. The complimentary Charging Bundle expires three (3) years from your EV New Vehicle Limited Warranty start date . The Charging Bundle runs concurrently with your complimentary 2-year Charge Network access trial described above in 3(A)(i). When you have used all of the 250kWh in your Charging Bundle, you can either use the BlueOval Charge Network on a pay-as-you-go basis (as described in Section 3. Access to Charge Network above), or you can purchase a BlueOval EA Membership (see Section 4(B)). ii. Your kWh credit balance will be available for three years from the complimentary trial start date. Any kWh credit balance remaining at the end of the complimentary trial period will: (i) expire or terminate after a change in EV ownership occurs leading to removal of the EV VIN from your FordPass Account - My Garage; or (ii) deactivation of the connection between your Account and the vehicle’s FordPass Connect modem. iii. You are responsible for all applicable taxes and fees.B. BlueOval EA Membership i. 12 Month Service Plan. Start date for 2021 and later model year EVs begins on the date of enrollment and will incur an annual access fee which will be shown at the time of enrollment. For 12-months after the enrollment date, you will be billed for all fees including but not limited to fees for the Services initiated by you in any manner, including, without limitation, with your FordPass app or remotely by a EA customer relations agent. ii. Upon expiration of the BlueOval EA Membership Plan for network access, you may purchase from Ford a one (1) year term of EA Membership Plan for an annual fee plus taxes and fees if applicable. This one-year term may be purchased annually without limitation. iii. You are responsible for all applicable taxes and fees.5. Charging Events A. EV payments for Public Charging Event at any Charge Network Station are customer-initiated. You will be automatically charged for your Public Charging events.B. Ford will utilize one of the following payment methods based on availability and applicability to Public Charging Event: i. Drawdown of kWh credit balance ii. Credit card or debit card default in Wallet iii. Combination of kWh credit balance and default card in WalletIn the event a customer’s kWh credit balance is fully depleted during a Public Charging Event, a customer’s default card in Wallet will be charged for the remaining amount owed.C. All Public Charging Events are subject to Session Fees as described in Section 3(A)(iv).D. All charges will include taxes and fees if applicableE. Refund. Full refund of a single Public Charging Event purchase may be issued by Ford to the purchaser for one of the following reasons: i. You will remain responsible for resolving any outstanding balances due associated with your FordPass Account.7. Account Reinstatement. A. You must pay the full balance of any outstanding charges in order to resume access to the ServicesB. Payment of any outstanding balance and reinstatement requests must be initiated by the customer. Please contact your default credit card company to resolve any card-related issues and then retry processing the payment using your owner profile in ford.owner.com. 8. Disputes If you would like to dispute a transaction, you must contact customer support at 800-392-3673. A customer support agent will help determine if the dispute qualifies for a refund or if the account should be temporarily suspended to prevent fraudulent activity. 9. Third Party ServicesCharge Network Stations in the Charge Network are owned and operated by third party operators. These operators are responsible for operating and maintaining their Charge Network Stations. If there are any faults or you have any issues with a Charge Network Station, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible using the contact details below. Ford may be required to change the extent and coverage of the Charge Network from time to time, which may include suspending or removing access to individual Charge Network Stations in the Charge Network. The Charge Network and/or Services may integrate with, or include services that are not owned, provided, or controlled by Ford (“Third Party Service”). We have no control over and, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, assume no responsibility for, the Charge Network Stations and related equipment, content, privacy policies, or practices of any Third Party Service. In addition, we will not and cannot censor or edit the content of any Third-Party Service. You should always read the terms and conditions and privacy policy of each Third Party Service before using it. You recognize that certain third-party providers of ancillary software, hardware or services may require your agreement to additional or different license or other terms prior to your use of or access to such software, hardware or services. By using a Third Party Service, you expressly relieve us from any and all liability arising from your use of any Third Party Service. 10. Your Responsibilities, Use of Charge Network Station<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; margin-left: 51.0pt; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in; background: white;\">1. You must follow all safety instructions that are displayed on or near the Charge Network Station to safely connect your EV to begin a Public Charging Event. <p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; margin-left: 51.0pt; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in; background: white;\">2. The Owner’s Manual for your EV describes how to recharge your EV’s battery. You must recharge your EV in accordance with the guidelines in the Owner’s Manual.<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; margin-left: 51.0pt; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in; background: white;\">3. You must not use one of the Charge Network Stations in a way that will put the Charge Network Station, you, any other person, property, your EV or any other person’s EV in danger or at risk.<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; margin-left: 51.0pt; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in; background: white;\">4. As the FordPass account holder, you and anyone you authorize may connect your vehicle to the Charge Network Station and complete all Public Charging Events. You will be responsible for any other vehicle user’s use of your Account and its use at any Charge Network Station.<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; margin-left: 51.0pt; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in; background: white;\">5. You acknowledge that the Charge Network Stations may not be supervised and that you will use them at your own risk.<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; margin-left: 51.0pt; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in; background: white;\">6. When you are using one of the Charge Network Stations in the Charge Network you agree to keep the area around the Charge Network Station clean and tidy, and to comply with any reasonable request the Charge Network Station owner/operator makes when you are using that Charge Network Station including any request to immediately suspend, modify or restrict your access to the Charge Network Station.<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; margin-left: 51.0pt; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in; background: white;\">7. You must comply with any reasonable request we make of you when you are using one of the Charge Network Stations.<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; margin-left: 51.0pt; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .5in; background: white;\">8. You must provide Ford with complete and accurate contact information, including your name, address, e-mail address and telephone number. You must update this information as soon as possible if it changes. Termination for CauseAny breach of your payment obligations or unauthorized use of the Services will be deemed a material breach of this Agreement. Indemnity and Hold HarmlessBy using the Charge Network and/or Services you agree that you will defend, indemnify and hold harmless Ford and our subsidiaries and affiliates, their respective distributors, dealers, dealer associations, suppliers, licensors, partners and advertising and promotions agencies, from and against all the liabilities, claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs) arising out of any use of the Charge Network or Services by or through you including any of its features or services, your breach or alleged breach of these Terms, and/or your breach or alleged violation of the patent, copyright, trademark, proprietary or other rights of third parties. We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, and, in such case, you shall agree to cooperate with our defense of such claim. You acknowledge and agree that your app store provider has no liability, responsibility or obligation to you, including with respect to the investigation, defense, settlement or discharge of a third party’s intellectual property infringement claim.13. Entire Agreement, Modification and SeverabilityThese Terms of Service together with any additional terms to which you agree when using particular elements of the Charge Network and/or Services constitute the entire agreement regarding the Charge Network and Services, and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, whether electronic, oral or written between you and us with respect to the Charge Network and/or the Services. We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change these Terms at any time. We refer to these features generally as the “Payment” features. The Payment features are maintained and operated by Ford, Lincoln, or their third-party payment service providers. If you use the same login information for other Ford and/or Lincoln mobile apps and websites, your Payment Methods will automatically be synched when you access the Payment features of the other apps and websites. By clicking “I accept,” you: • agree to be bound by these Payment Terms; • represent that you are 18 years of age or older and capable of entering into a legally binding agreement; and • authorize Ford and Lincoln to verify the validity of your Payment Methods and to process and transmit your Payment Method information to facilitate transactions as described below. We may modify the Payment Terms at any time. We will alert you through the app, website, and/or by email of any material changes to the Payment Terms and allow you an opportunity to accept the updated terms. Our process requires you to enter your name, address, credit card, debit card, or bank account number(s) and associated information necessary to validate and process payments with the Payment Method. All information provided during this process must be current, accurate and complete.For Wallets, we will store your Payment Method information for future transactions you initiate. For Guest Checkout, we will retain your name, email address, and last four (4) digits of your credit card for any troubleshooting related to the transaction you have initiated. You authorize Ford and Lincoln to confirm that your Payment Method is valid, including by submitting a payment authorization request or a low dollar authorization credit and/or debit, in accordance with the relevant rules of that Payment Method, such as the network rules of Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover (“Network”). If we submit a low dollar authorization for your credit or debit card, your card is not actually being charged, and any temporary charge shown on your account will disappear in a few days. You also authorize Ford and Lincoln to submit your Payment Method information to our third-party service provider(s) for the purposes of updating your Wallet, Payment Method, and/or account with us. b. How Payments Work / Our Role The Payment features let you make payments using your Payment Method for goods and services offered by Ford or third-party merchants, including Ford dealers (“Merchants”). The Payment features use services and technology provided by third-party payment service providers, which are subject to change at any time. You acknowledge and agree that when you make a purchase using the Payment features (“Transactions”), the Transaction is solely between you and the Merchant, which may or may not be Ford or Lincoln as specified for each Transaction. You authorize our payment service providers to collect, analyze and relay information generated in connection with Transactions. Transactions are subject to the terms and conditions governing your Payment Method and to any agreements between you and your financial institution.c. Supported Payment Methods Most US-issued credit and debit cards with a Network brand can be used with the Payment features, though certain card types may not be used. In some cases, you may also be able to use your bank account and routing information to enable make ACH transactions from your account using the Payment features. Eligible Payment Methods are subject to change at any time.d. Recurring Payments If a Merchant offers you the ability to use the Payment features to make recurring payments on a monthly or other periodic basis, such as a subscription (“Recurring Payments”), you may do so by following the prompts and providing the requested information. You authorize the Merchant to charge your selected Payment Method on the specified schedule. Unless otherwise stated, your Recurring Payments and the relevant billing authorization will continue indefinitely until you cancel.e. Transaction History When you make a payment using the Payment features, we will update your activity on the website or app where you utilized the Payment features and provide you a Transaction confirmation. In some instances, the Transaction confirmation may serve as your receipt and the Transaction also will appear on your card or account statement. Except as otherwise required by law or by the terms of another agreement between us, you are solely responsible for (a) compiling and retaining permanent records of all Transactions and other data associated with your use of the Payment features, and (b) reconciling all transaction information associated with the Payment features. If you believe that there is an error or unauthorized Transaction activity, you agree to contact us immediately.f. Refunds Except as set forth in the Payment Terms, all Transactions are non-refundable and non-reversible. You may have additional refund or charge-back rights based on a Merchant’s policies or under your agreement with your financial institution or applicable state and federal laws. Customer Service We provide customer service for issues relating to how the Payment features work. This is what I'm seeing. It does show a 10/24/2023 expiration date, which the website doesn't show. And my kwh balance shows a different date than the website shows.

Mine is expiring soon. I have no plans to renew because I don't think the cost justifies what I get out of it considering I rarely dcfc. Afaik you just get plug and play. I'd rather just tap my phone and start a session

I wish they'd bring back the EA "upgrade." I've had Plug & Charge turned off since my second month of ownership because I burned through my free charging credits that quick and I use EA too often to justify the minor convenience of keeping it turned on and paying guest prices. Its been well over a year since the first pilot for integrating EA membership with P&C and they still haven't rolled it out to everyone. Thats been one of their biggest failures imo.

Agree that they need to offer it again. Odd why they haven't yet.

Small clarification... It's not actually integration with EA membership. Totally separate. The Ford EA discount just happens to be the same 25% discount that the EA Pass+ offers.

My personal experience with it has been 1) pull up to EA station, 2) plug in, 3) that’s it. I never have to press a button.
