I noticed on my charger app that my car wasn’t charging at the usual time so I went out to the car at 11:26 pm and the car clock said 6:50? I went into the menu and turned off the auto time update and then turned it back in and the time corrected. Any ideas why that would happen?

Mine says that it is not assignee to a garage, but it's definitely in the garage of the FordPass app and online. The car is so buggy. As long as it doesn't kill me on the road, I'll try and cope. But for the car to say it's not in my FordPass garage is pretty dumb.

Perhaps the module that keeps the clock updated went to sleep?? All anyone can do when the car does something dumb like that is speculate.

I wonder if it’s tied to GPS and can’t find a satellite to get its time from in the garage? Or, check the time on your WiFi router, it might be using your home connection as an NTP

Yeah, that's what made me think of your WiFi router. You're basically driving a computer on wheels. In typical computer fashion, if you're on a network where something is acting like a time authority, the computer will hold onto its local time value but say "ok, well I trust you know what you're doing" and display the time authority's time. When you turned auto update off, it relied on its internal time keeping and is no longer asking the network what time it is. (or so my theory suggests)

My 2019 Caddy XT4 (which I don't miss) would not change the time for DST and back. It didn't matter if I told it to use network time or not.

So the answer is YES!
