Received letter to make appointment w Dealer for 12V battery. FMC has authorized my dealer to re-program the onboard charger module free of charge.
Has anyone else received this letter? Is this a recall? I just leased brand new 11/24 and I have less than 1000 miles. I really would not know if I was having an issue or not.
All new to me and a little overwhelming.

Customer satisfaction is not technically a recall for safety reasons. I have a 2024 and also got the letter. Made an appt for this week. They're sending mobile service to complete it. Don't stress about it.

I get it the overwhelming feeling. Especially if you’re looking at the forums and listening to the news and if it’s new to you

In the news, you have some powerful incumbents who have strong incentive to create fear, uncertainty and doubt (FUD).

On the forums, you’re looking at the human negativity bias - we’re attracted to problems. Few people post, “everything is great.” After all, this is a place where we’re looking for advice to solve problems. To solve a problem, you have to explain it first. So the forum can make ownership a minefield.

If you’re new, would say that if you have a good dealership, it’s all… well… good. Make them earn their money. They exist to be the local representative of Ford, not just to stock cars and trucks. I understand that good dealerships are spotty, and that stinks, but <insert soapbox about US dealer protection laws marking a rent seeking economy instead of a competitive one>.

Avoid Nick Burns, IT Guy, energy. The dealer should be able to help or ask for the mobile service, as others have suggested. It’s good advice.

I feel you. We just purchased a '24 a month ago...first EV. There is a lot to learn...

We received the same notice...took it to the local Ford dealership and was in and out in under two hours. No charge. Aside from the inconvenience...all is well.

Curious - of the people receiving the notices, was it also showing up in your account - under recalls/csp’s? I also purchased my 24 1 month ago. Haven’t seen a notice and also nothing shows up when I check my vin for recalls and csps. Maybe I just got lucky?? I believe mine was built toward the end of ‘24. Thx!

I saw it when I searched my VIN for recalls.

It's quick and can be done by dealer or mobile service. Software update for the charging module. Super quick and convinient.

I saw this notification via my ford web site so I called my local dealership and they scheduled a remote service appointment. Performed last Friday and I asked about checking for other updates as FDRS said i had another 9 updates available. Mobile tech did them all - great experience for me.
