So I ended up skipping a few pages, but hadn't seen any reports of this yet... Has anyone else seen more battery drain from the FP app after this update.

Yes, go back a page.

With the new app version, anyone else have a recall alert in the top left corner of the main page, but when you click on it it just constantly spins loading?
I noticed the recall notice as well after the app update. Here are the details after clicking it.

Yep can confirm every time I try to update the status of the car the recall symbol pops up. Looks like there was a change done which prevents the phone app to communicate with the car and the update on the car is required in order for communication to continue. Even the odometer on my car is reading the wrong mileage on the app

I uninstalled the update and went back to 3.23. The recall is still there and the info is still not updated. Looks like a dealer appointment is necessary

Totally. This new version is a battery killer.
I did this - it helped...

(I'm on Android 10 - steps may be different if you are on another version...)

System Settings -> Battery -> Usage Details -> FordPass -> Background restriction -> Restrict app? (To save battery, stop FordPass from using battery in the background. This app may not work properly and notifications may be delayed.) -> Restrict

I did get my charge status notifications as expected even with this restriction on. I can't say what impact this will have with PAAK, but my guess is that if you've gotten into the habit of unlocking your phone and bringing the app to the foreground to use PAAK, you probably won't notice a degradation there either.

So is this a real recall or not? What an annoying bug! So much for OTA... sure...
Dealer says the recall for this is only good till the end of June. 2 hours in shop no loaner. What a bunch of BS.

on the recall lookup site:

Field service action
PHONE AS A KEY SOFTWARE UPDATE

Field Service Action Number:
21B36

Tell your dealer to look at the end date again: June 30, 2022.

This will basically make PAAK only work if you have your phone out, on and the app open. As soon as the app closes it will kill the bluetooth connection to the car. Better battery, but useless for PAAK.
